This is a wood toilet seat. So a bit heaver than I was expecting. However, it made installation of screws for standoffs possible (no stickers that fall off) ... which was needed after installing a luxe 185 bidet (awesome). With the silicone based standoffs installed, the seat is not perfectly balanced and does not feel as heavy. The big thing with this lid is the way it installed to the toilet. Some obsolutely TOP NOTCH hardware makes installed and removal (for cleaner) A BREEZE. For the price, this way better than the plastic lids we have bought in the past. It does not have SLOW CLOSE, so be aware if someone drops the lid ... it's not a good idea. But overall, great toilet seat and good quality ... the wood construction make installed bumpers possible, so a perfect choice if you installing a bidet (which raises the lid and will break the lid if you do not balance the sides and front with bumpers). ... show more

Turn the plastic tabs to open. Flip the closed seat over and insert one of the white plastic stems and jiggle until seated. Turn the tab on the other side to locked. Repeat the second stem.. Install on the toilet and secure using the black plastic thumb bolts. Hope this spares others the frustration of having to take it apart and try again.. Not exactly intuitive. Happy with the end results. The only time I plan to remove this will be when it is worn out. Will clean around it. ... show more

Color matched perfectly. No instructions so watched the video. Fairly easy to install. Terrible remote. Buttons on both side. You have to grab it at the back bottom to hold. You swipe them. Once on the wall it’s good. You can use it while it’s in the pocket. So for a lady the wand does not come out enough to hit the “spot” to rinse. I’m not a big person just average so you have to adjust yourself on the seat for this option. I think they need to work on the wand for the ladies. It’s like it was made for a man. Wouldn’t be unusual right ladies? The night light is pointing away from the toilet on the left side so that’s weird. Still cannot get the personal settings to work. The last thing is when we installed it we couldn’t figure out how it flushes. We just assumed it did that too but when you think about it, there was nothing that tied it to the tank to flush it. Stupid mistake on our part. We just assumed it flushed on its own. Even after those complaints I’m getting used to it and I do love it. ... show more

Not exactly sure why people were finding it so hard to install their lids. I had no issues without the instructions. If you just reverse the way you took off the old one it’s pretty simple, no instructions needed. It’s very sturdy, looks and feels as though it will last for quite some time. It has been one of the finishing touches to my bathroom makeover. I will be ordering 2 additional ones as I look to updating the next 2 bathrooms. Hopefully the cleaning suggestions work. I didn’t know certain cleaners would make my original ones turn colors. ... show more

We have used this model of toilet seat several times in the past and like it very much and we recently installed one in a different bathroom that we had purchased 18 months ago. It was exactly what I needed to make bidet fit. No gaps. No buffers plus it's solid not like the flimsy plastic one that I had that was alway sliding around and coming lose because of the flimsy way it was made and it was very easy to install

Not just an excuse to have a pan. This really doesn’t sit perfectly flush with the toilet bowl even though it is marked as fitting our brand. It hangs off by half an inch or an inch. This is the second and third party toilet seat. The first one was designed to close slowly and silently and it fit our ball perfectly. I’m not sure why this one doesn’t. I bought this based on the reviews I read. The reviewers were 100% correct although it lacked instructions (the box hadn't been opened, it just lacked instructions). The new caps that hide the screw are not attached to the seat (as the flip-up type) and need to be twisted to unlock, pried open, then placed over the screw after the screws are installed. The screws themselves which are plastic need to be installed from the bottom of the seat (they snap into place) and then while attached to the seat are lowered into the holes of the fixture. Normally it takes only a few minutes to change a toilet seat. This was a little bit more time consuming than usual due to trial & error. Instructions would have been helpful. ... show more
