    • Great simple backpack
Pros: 1. I was looking for a simple backpack to carry my laptop to work everyday. I have used large bags with tons of pockets so I could carry everything and the kitchen sink. But I wanted something simpler this time and guess what, I don’t need all that stuff I used to carry. 2. It looks nice too so if I am in a tie one day it doesn’t look like I’m carrying my old school bag. 3. I’ve been using it for a month now so durability is yet to be truly tested, but the material and the manufacturing look and feel very solid. Like I will be using it for a very long time. 4. The profile is such that I can take my laptop, several small notebooks, and a jacket in my bag and it doesn’t look like I am carrying my entire office on my bag. 5. The laptop sleeve is very protective of my computer and is suspended on the back to prevent my computer from hitting the ground when I set the bag down. 6. I do love having the easy access pocket on the front with a clip for keys. 7. The laptop sleeve is big enough for my MacBook air and an iPad Pro 12.9”. If I had a 17” laptop, I am not sure anything else would fit. Cons: 1. The shoulder straps are a little slippery so when I put it on one shoulder it wants to slide off. When on both shoulders it is not a problem and in fact makes it easier to take off my back without dislocating my shoulders. 2. I do miss having a few slots for pens/pencils, but how many do I really need to carry anyway. There is one dedicated spot for a pen, but otherwise the small internal pocket is great for spares. 3. The zipper pulls come off the brass hook on mine, but with a little squeeze from pliers they no longer do. ... show more

    • Expensive high quality minimalistic backpack
I loved this backpack. I ended up returning it because it didn't fit my new laptop (Dell G7 15.6"). I ended up having to buy a 17" laptop backpack to fit it. First impression: this bag is beautiful. (I got Lunar color). Genuinely one of the most visually appealing bags I've ever seen or used. And on the topic of design: This was my favorite organizational design of all the bags I've ever used. I loved the internal sleeves, the top inside pocket, the side access front pocket. It's hard to describe how nice it feels to use. Like it's something that a less well designed backpack won't necessarily feel "bad", until you use this, and it just feels really "good". Second impression: this bag is sturdy. Much sturdier than I thought it would be. While I didn't get to test it in much rain or anything, I can't confirm, but I would feel safe running home in the rain with this. It was also pretty comfortable, but nothing crazy. Something to keep in mind: this is a no-frills bag. No crazy security, no internal wires, no fancy suspension, not ultralight (actually a tad heavy). But if you're looking at this bag, that's probably not what you're looking for. Overall: I really really loved this bag. It was honestly difficult to have to return this, and if I had a laptop that fit, I probably would have kept it. At this price, I think a lot of people will complain that it lacks "features", but for me the beauty of this bag is it's simplicity. If you're looking for a minimalistic bag that's actually high quality and well designed, this is it (and yes, you have to pay more than a $20 H+M bag). An alternative is the Fjallraven Raven 20. It's around $80 I believe, slightly less well designed, less comfortable (no padding), slightly less sturdy, a little bit smaller, and less visually appealing (messier). The bag is very comfortable. I wore it on visits to theme parks, on long walks in the city and on commutes. It holds enough to travel with. It is water resistant. Even in the rain my items were safe. I'm glad I got this bag.

Great bag for daily carry. For once I feel my laptop is actually safe inside of a backpack. Perfect for people who need one bag for everywhere they go: the gym, work, classes, and everything in between. Good material and sturdy build. Pockets are well placed and the interior pocket is very stretchy and usable for bigger items. My rating is 4 stars because it doesn’t quite live up to what a $140 price tag should meet, especially when compared something like the classic Jansport I used before this.
