The brown color is exactly as pictured, as is the antique brass nail head hardware. It is comfortable enough to sit on. The dimensions are slightly off. It is actually only 46 inches wide. The inside width is 39 inches and inside height/depth is 9.25” which isn’t mentioned or shown in the listing. If you try to put file folders in it, the tabs will get crushed, however, if you put less in and tilt them, it could still work. It would fit 3 file folders sections wide, see photo. The hinges do not fully extend to a 90 degree opening which I do not like, but it is still a pretty ample opening; see photo. Overall it seems sturdy, well constructed and is a good value for the money. This storage bench was moderately heavy, but not too cumbersome in size for this petite pregnant lady to easily bring into the house and unpackage alone. Assembly was just twisting the legs with screw into the furniture and only took a few minutes. *Note this item is not suitable for toy storage or use in a child’s room as it poses an entrapment hazard; a warning is included in the box.* ... show more
