I love this thing. A single cup coffee maker is all that is needed in my household but I struggle with Keurig. I do not like using K cups and the accessory filter basket for using your own grounds is frustrating and poor in design. I tried a Hamilton Beach Scoop single cup maker and it did the basic job but the taste of the coffee had no depth, likely from the shallow, flat filter for the grounds that also did not hold enough for my preference of strong, bold coffee. I went on a search for a better single cup maker that had a convenient filter for using your own grounds and would also produce a satisfying, cup of coffee. There are limited consumer options in that market. I decided to take a chance on this one and I am so pleased with it! There are two filters, one for K cups and one for your own grounds. They are easily swapped out and easy to empty and clean. It takes up very little space on the counter and doesn't look weird. I like that I can use a regular mug or travel one with the height adjustment on the tray and no splash out onto the counter so far when it's brewing. Most importantly, I can put ample, fresh grounds of my choosing in the filter basket to get a delicious, bold and hot cup of coffee!!! I am a purist with coffee and want plain black coffee with depth of flavor and nothing added but I am picky about taste and strength. I used the Rethone stainless steel reusable coffee pod with this Bella. I love how I can use different size cups and they fit perfectly and the coffee taste so fresh and it’s so easy to use. I love how I can use my own coffee grounds for the brew of them. Keeps my coffee tastings fresh. The color of the coffee is great, I love it. I'd forgotten that I'd already returned a toaster of this brand. Clearly written in the instructions on that toaster & this coffee maker was a warning stating that plasticizers may migrate to countertop. They recommended placing a non-plastic mat or coaster underneath to prevent this. I followed the directions for pre-uae cleaning, running not just 1 as instructed , but 2 cups of water thru the machine. Then I brewed the coffee & gave it to my Mom (this item was a gift for her apartment). She took a few sips, then asked me to taste it. Ugh! It tasted like plastic 🫤 Hmm - so maybe those plasticizers are migrating into the hot coffee as it brews. Back to Amazon it goes. So my husband has decided to start drinking coffee instead of his caffeine energy drinks and this is such a great price and so easy for him to do before heading out to work. Can't beat the price and it's nice looking. We also love that we can use regular ground coffee not just the pods which we haven't yet but love this option. This coffee maker is perfect. Our old one was huge and after a few years it started making warmish coffee. This coffee maker sits right in the old ones spot saving room and making great coffee.

PROS: It doesn't take up much space. Very quick to brew even 14oz. Easily switch between gounds and pods. *Adjustable bottom tray makes for using mug vs tall carafe (definitely necessary because of splashout). CONS: Splatters if cup isn't at the closest possible height. *Ability to adjust height but the mechanism is only the two plastic prongs that hold the tray up. With time and weight of cup, probably will break off eventually. Cord storage is just a velcro wrap that holds cord. No place to store reusable basket or pod basket not bring used. OVERALL: Probably could have found a better quality product for the price. ... show more
