If you are buying a 12" tire, you are likely buying it for a kid's bike. If your kid rides a 12" bike, he/she likely uses training wheels. Training wheels accelerate the destruction of your kid's back tire because they are learning to brake, locking the rear wheel often, and the rear wheel doesn't make full contact when also supported by training wheels. This rear tire is consumable and does not have any high speed, traction, or impact durability requirements. This tire is a good price, fits easily, and gets the job done just fine. I have had more expensive tires and they did not last any longer. Some lasted less if they were street-tread oriented. ... show more
