I need to keep my purse with me while I move about my workplace, as my locker is located too far from where I perform my job. This leather backpack is fashionable and I can wear it while I work if need be, and remain hands free without my bag in my way. It is made from very thick, genuine pebbled leather with a nice finish on it to keep it protected from wear and tear. The design is smart, the access to the main compartment is where the straps are sewn on, thus it's against my back when I wear it, keeping the zipper compartment hidden and protected from possible theft. The lining in the brown pack is a thick, silky brown lining, making it easy to see my belongings inside. The 2 water bottle holders are slim fitting, so my 32 ounce bottle is tough to jam in there. The hardware is nickel and is very nice. I would like to get a patterned woven strap to swap out the plain brown woven/leather one, but this strap that it comes with is still very nice, it's just plain. I recommend getting this pack over the $40 PVC backpacks with shoulder straps. This leather pack will hold up for years to come and not wear out or peel like fake leather tends to do. I am partial to leather backpack as my everyday bag. I also find them very convenient when airplane traveling since it leaves my hands free for other things. This one impressed me. The main compartment is very roomy with 2 small pockets and 1 zippered area on the inside. It has 2 other zippered small compartments on the outside as well. There are also 1 open pocket on each side. My favorite feature it that the zipper for the main area sits against your back when you put it on. That means that there is not way that someone can approach you from behind and open the bag. They cannot access the zipper! Additionally, it has good workmanship. There are so many types available on Amazon of this style of backpack. I’ve literally looked at two dozen of them. This one is the best of the bunch and the price isn’t too high. Another reviewer bought 3 different types (very helpful review) and chose this one as well. I’ve found another similar bag made by Fossil for $160. This is the next best thing if $ is a concern. Likes: 1) It is actual leather. So many of them are fake leather or PU leather with a smell that never goes away. This one isn’t. 2) The bag itself is not heavy, but it does have some shape and stability to it. It easily fits what I need for an upcoming trip. 3) The color of the one I purchased is a beautiful warm cognac tone. It’s really lovely. Dislikes: 1) I don’t love is the “seatbelt type fabric” on the straps. For stability, it’s really great but style wise it’s not my favorite. The color is bright cognac tone - almost too bright. I wish it was darker. 2) I wish the backpack handles detached completely from the bag so you could use the purse strap by itself on the bag. It’s looks much more expensive that it is totally worth it thus far. Buy it and try it… you’ll keep it too! ... show more

I bought this backpack as I travel a lot! And I’ve been using a tote bag, but it’s gotten harder to carry, my husband has been wanting me to make the switch to a backpack. But I don’t like the front zippers and cloth backpack and the very high price of most leather bags. This one is just what I wanted, just wish it was a bit bigger love the color and texture of the leather, it’s as nice as my high end purses. I found it easy to carry as a purse on arrival to my destination. The lining is nice, and not so dark that you can’t find anything inside. This works for a weekend trip, but I will have to look for something else for a 2 week vacation trip as i must travel with meds on ice and that won’t fit along with what I have in it for the weekend ... show more

I can’t say enough about how much I love this bag! The zippers are smooth and easy. The leather is soft, but sturdy. There are multiple straps: a handle, a shoulder strap, and backpack straps! Initially I didn’t care for the bag because getting into the bag from behind the backpack straps was a bit of a pain. But I actually love it because it’s impossible for anyone to steal anything from the bag while you were wearing if… Because the opening is against your back! It’s roomy, and comfortable! I was looking for a stylish purse/backpack for an upcoming trip abroad. I debated going with a similar style, more reasonably priced faux leather bag. So glad I didn’t. The S-Zone bag is absolutely beautiful and well worth the few extra dollars!!!! The leather is soft and the hardware and straps are high quality. I’ve been using this backpack for a week to test it out prior to my trip. It’s the perfect size not too big or small. It holds my iPad, phone, charger and cord, small makeup bag, hand sanitizer a comb, scrunchie, a pack of gum, compact umbrella, and small water bottle. I was worried that the backpack straps would slip but so far they stay in place. I also love the back loading security feature to prevent anyone reaching into my bag in crowded places. Love, love, love, this bag!!! I originally purchased the brown , a week later I bought a second one in black! Update: This bag was beyond filled every day for my 3 week Italy vacation. It kept its shape and the seams held up. Besides the items above items I also carried around a shawl, small map book, cel battery pack, passport, an oversized wallet, sun hat, and whatever small trinket I found at a gift shop. I was surprised at how many things I could fit in the backpack (see pic). The straps were comfortable and never loosened on me. The security feature of the main compartment zipper being in the back gave me peace of mind. I never worried about my belongings at crowded areas like tourist attractions or on public transportation.
