Got these tires for my fat tire ebike due to my street tires catching flats on the hacked up roads of Boston Massachusetts. Anyone who lives there knows how bad the streets are. These are great all season/ road tires great for commuting roads and also helpful when the roads get rough. They ride smooth and silent and add a little cushion on bumps. Good quality rubber too.

Couldn't ask for a more solid design. My ebike runs 50mph and I needed tires I could trust and went through the cheaper brands before I found these. I'll be a lifelong customer now!!! Side walls are solid, tread is silent and sticks to the road like they should, water isn't an issue, and I'm getting more top speed and battery life with these. Well worth the money, don't waste time trying other brands like HEB and Allscape and that's coming from an avid everyday rider!!! You get what you pay for and these tires are worth every penny!!! If you're looking for safety, silence, grip, durability, less resistance, more battery life, and more top speed on your Ebike you found it in these tires!!!

I just put 30 miles on these tires since installing them over the past couple days, they ride smooth and quiet and seem to have a lot less drag than the more aggressive Ultraverse set that I removed, I can't comment on durability or tread life until they have been used for a while

Call this a 4.5 star review as while they are a really nice tire, they were/are very difficult to install on my 4.0" rim. I live in the desert southwest. Everything is sharp, jagged, thorny or otherwise an enemy of bikes/trikes. My recent rejoining of the bicycling community after about 4 decades of not owning one has been an eye opening and occasionally infuriating experience. I have been looking for off-road knobby tires suitable for my 20" x 4" etrike tires, and have had a mixed bag of luck. My first etrike has 2" rims which I managed to get 3.0" tires on and I looked for stiff rubber, deep tread, and I installed the TPU liners and self sealing tubes to cut down on the number of patch and pull I was having to do. Then I got a new trike that is supposed to be heavy duty for off-road trails and such, and figured they would have heavy duty tires and tubes from the factory - everything else has been top notch. I had always eyed the rather street friendly tread on the OEM, but put my misgivings to just the recent bad experiences. I should have listened to my gut. Luckily, my gut influences my purchasing decisions and I had acquired this set of two 20 x 4 heavy duty tires in preperation for just such a use. I had found that my front tire was flat. Arggh. Ok, I'll simply do the drill as before. Heavy duty tire with deeper tread? Check. Self sealing thick inner tube? Check. TPU liner for the inside of the tire? Check. Lets go! This heavy duty tire is *very* stiff, and the amount of effort it took to get beads set on both sides, while having the inner tube inside is about an 8 on the 10 scale of frustration. I'm glad that its stiff, and that the beads are very stiff as that will make it last longer, but I had quite the time doing it. Not sure if I'm going to mount the second one, or keep it as a spare for the front as I'll get a matching set for the back that may not be the same tires - depends on what I can find. Inflated to 20 (max psi) and no popping noises from the tube, and the tire filled out nicely. This is on an outdoor etrike in less than ideal conditions so road noise and rolling resistance are factors that don't really matter to me. I'm far more concerned with not going flat, period. I'm deducting the 1/2 point for that and the fact that the tire spoons they shipped are metal, and would have seriously marred my rim finish, although being quite long they would have provided the leverage needed to pop the beads over the rim. I guess you have to pick one or the other - I have short plastic levers that don't mar, or I have long metal ones that work easier. I can recommend these tires for extreme use conditions - if I get a flat anytime soon I'll update the review, but I figure it will have to be something that pretty much any tire wouldn't survive to kill this one now.

These are definitely the toughest tires you can get for a decent price. They are also the toughest to get installed. I can't tell you how strenuous it was for me even with the two tools they supply you with which I am going to insist you do NOT use if you have coloured rims like I do. It will scratch them horribly. Plastic might have been a better choice but these tires are so hard to get on that plastic might break. I used a crowbar with a towel to get mine on. Once you get past that experience, you get to enjoy them without the worry of easily damaged tires. I used pre-slimed inner tubes with these. I don't ride on trashy roads or trails. I stick to cleaner areas but sometimes you run into trouble areas and tires get put to the test. I'm glad these are really thick. They don't look like 20 x 4.0 fat tires. Not much grip on these so you get a smooth ride. They're not all that lightweight due to the dense rubber. It doesn't impact your mobility it's like any regular tire only they look expensive because of their sleek design. I go through tires pretty fast so I'm curious to see exactly how long these will stay in reasonable condition.
