Not much to complain about on this one, I got a catalyst 550 lock. It has a slider core, which isn't the most pick-proof lock ever but it's perfectly adequate and will keep most people out compared to a cheaper lock. The shackle isn't tough or thick enough to survive large hand tools but it's plenty for defeating discrete options, and for the $20 you can find this at you really aren't going to get anything better until you triple what you're paying. Also comes with a secondary wire loop to secure the front wheel, a nice additional deterrent to somebody who would run off with just a tire. Everything is adequately sheethed in rubber so it won't scratch your bike. It's still fairly large though, so your standard mounting position under most frames won't work if you also have a water bottle already there. You'll need to put it in a different spot such as a bag or on the handlebars. The shackle of the lock is oval-shaped, so you cannot rotate the included bike mount into a 90 degree angle for more mounting options. You'll also need a phillips head screwdriver for the lock mount, not your typical bike hex key. ... show more

REALLY secure lock with two keys (one's lighted) and a good stable bike mount.... but she's a heavy booger and it takes awhile to get the stiffness outa the cable (never goes out completely). I feel very secure when I lock my bike up just about anywhere. Can't give it 5 stars cause the cable is soooo darn stiff. Good lock though.... ... show more

This has proven to be an incredible bike lock. The only downside that I could see with this is that it weighs a lot. I bike to work and school and it adds a bit to my backpack. Really its not too bad and for how secure it makes the bike. The cord is also long enough to lock both tires which I love.

The cable is too stiff to use... Perhaps after working on straightening it out for a while it will work better. The included mount for carrying the lock with you is for a very small gauge frame, I couldn't find a place that it would fit. The lock itself works well enough.

I love the U lock, it is long enough to lock the front wheel along with the support beam of the bike, but the wire is bit of short and rigid, I don't use it much at all.
