It was a great screen protector until I noticed one major flaw that I hadn’t picked up in others’ reviews: for my brand new 2021 MacBook Pro 16”, this screen protector almost completely covers up the taskbar at the top of the screen. This was very easy to install due to the durability of the protector and the template provided. It's a perfect fit and you don't have to worry about shifting it afterwards. Once you lay it on and feel it touch the edges of your display, you're good to go. Just follow the instructions and there are no issues. I don't believe I had any bubbles at all which is more than I can say for most mobile screen protectors. Regarding clarity, I think the Retina display sharpness is reduced a tiny bit, but it doesn't affect graphics and web work. It keeps your display clean and since I've had it I've probably only cleaned the screen once in comparison to daily prior to this. Maybe it masks the fingerprints or they don't adhere it to it — I'm not sure, but it seems to stay much cleaner. If you have pets that run across your keyboard, it'll prevent any further scratches to your screen as well. The other thing is the privacy you have of your screen, even sitting right next to someone. My wife asked why I was staring a blank screen and I told her I wasn't. She was shocked and asked what I did to achieve this. It's great if you're traveling because it makes it close to impossible for someone to make out your screen. If someone is directly behind you like on a train at night, they'd still be able to see the screen in the reflection of your window but that's part of working in public. Lastly, your camera is unaffected because the screen protector does not cover the camera lens. I prefer it that way and probably wouldn't have bought it if it did. The proportion of protector doesn’t fit on 21’ 16 inch mackbook pro. With this protector on, i am not able to see the toolbar on the top as the top of the screen protector covers it all. As you can see the pictures, I have to un-attach the protector to check time, wifi, or other features.

This is not compatible with the 2021 16” MacBook Pro - the black border along the top edge completely covers the menu bar, making it impossible to actually do anything on your laptop while this screen is on. Also, the screen itself is not very effective at blocking the screen at medium angles - you have to be at a very steep angle (>45 degrees) for anything to be even slightly obscured. ... show more

Quick review: As far as the packaging is concerned (1st image): it came in an envelope like package approximately 16" by 9". Was delivered without any damage. As for the product itself, (image 2 thru 4) it fits PERFECTLy on my MBP 16" screen. When looking straight at the screen (image 3) with the privacy screen on there is a tiny drop in the screen brightness. I barely notice that it's on at all. But move the laptop to about a 60 to 70 degree angle and you CANNOT see anything legible on the screen - just what I wanted. Obviously, this works just as intended. My only knock is actually aimed at Apple, not the product. I'm not 100% that I can add a link here so I'm taking a direct quote from a zdnet article: "If you close your Mac notebook with a camera cover installed, you might damage your display because the clearance between the display and keyboard is designed to very tight tolerances. Covering the built-in camera might also interfere with the ambient light sensor and prevent features like automatic brightness and True Tone from working." In other words, if you shouldn't keep a "camera cover" on your laptop and close the lid, then you probably shouldn't keep this THICKER pivacy screen on a closed laptop. I, personally, won't risk my multi thousand dollar machine and keep this thing on 100% of the time. So, to make sure my machine still functions I have to use it and then take it off before shutting it down. This sucks, but it is what it is. The good thing is, that it seems they thought of this and you can simply rinse off the adhesive parts and reapply it back to the "support panel" where you peel it off of (packaging) and you're good to go. Having said all of the above, but this if you like privacy when you're out and about (or at home). It definitely accomplishes what it is designed for. ... show more
