Frequently asked questions

The 9-Inch Band Saw is designed to cut through a variety of materials including wood, metal, and plastic. Its 2500FPM (feet per minute) blade speed ensures smooth and efficient cuts across different material types, although performance may vary depending on the thickness and hardness of the material.

Yes, the band saw features a cast table that can be adjusted to different angles for precision cuts. This allows for versatility in making straight, angled, or curved cuts according to your project needs.

While the steel base provides stability and support for benchtop use, the band saw can technically be used without it if necessary. However, for safety and optimal performance, it is highly recommended to use the saw with its steel base securely attached.

The removable key serves as a safety feature, preventing unauthorized or unintended use of the band saw. Removing the key disables the saw, ensuring it cannot be turned on accidentally, which helps protect both the operator and the equipment.

  • Perfect for light to medium work
Size: 9 inch
Good build quality and easy to achieve an accurate set up. Nice to have a fence and miter guide included. The miter feels a bit lightweight but does the job and a more substantial guide would add cost that, for me, isn’t needed. Dust extraction works well. Overall good value for money!

  • Value for the money
Size: 9 inch
Came well packaged. Saw intact as a unit, easy setup. All adjustment for degrees very rudimentary scale both on bench table and glide. The miter gauge bar had a slight bow but flat side and wide side. Had to take apart and put in vice and more to make straight. It now slides easily. The fence guide is pretty crude but functional. The saw part and operation are descent quality given the price. Runs good cuts good. ... show more

  • Fun power tool!!!
Size: 9 inch
My husband got this man toy for his birthday and loves it! He built a custom stand for it instead of paying double for one that came with a stand. Looks and works great!

  • Great little machine for the money
Size: 9 inch
It was easy to assemble and square up the table with the blade. I cut a piece of wood to check everything out and was surprised that it cut at 90 degrees on the first attempt. I make candle holders and like to insert colored pieces of acrylic on the inside. My laser cuts extremely accurately and I was depending on this saw to cut the acrylic to fit, and the pieces had to be exact. Not only did the saw cut cleanly, but there was no problem in straight cuts, no wandering, and no variation in the cut. I did hook up a shop vac and attached a magnetic light, however. Changing the blade was fairly easy and only took me a few minutes. All in all, I would definitely recommend this saw to anyone looking for a small, quiet, and excellent band saw. ... show more

  • Woodskil 3-Amp 9-Inch Band Saw, 2500FPM Benchtop Bandsaw Woodskil 3-Amp 9-Inch Band Saw, 2500FPM Benchtop Bandsaw
Size: 9 inch
Great bandsaw for the price! Adjustments didn't take too long it cuts pretty clean and straight. Cuts all my hard wood with no problem just have to go a bit slow with it. Everything is about 1/32 to 1/16 off so not to terrible. When I ripped douglas fir It was pretty bad and got about an 1/8 off not sure what that was about.. must of been the wood grain pulling the blade to one side. It's a good bandsaw and will get the job done if you are getting into wood working or need to do bandsaw projects. ... show more

  • basic, but useful bandsaw. You will need time to adjust the machine for narrow blade depths.
Size: 9 inch
Nicely made band saw, not much different than the cheaper models. I dislike the ball race blade guides because they offer little to dampen blade vibration. These band saws can require around an hour of setup time if you need them for precision work. Good-quality blades are difficult to find online, especially those with 14 teeth per inch. The bottom wheel on the saw requires alignment to ensure the thin blades remain centered on the crown of both the upper and lower wheels. This can be done by slowly adjusting four bolts that hold the wheel shaft in its correct orientation. With a little persistence and some time, everything can be made to run correctly—good value for money and slightly better than the cheaper clones of this model. ... show more
