You can never have too may surge protectors.. with all the electronic equipment in people's homes these days, every unit should be plugged into a surge protector. I learned this the hard way, a thunderstorm caused a power surge in my home and blew out my desktop monitor that was NOT plugged into a surge protector, a hard way to learn a lesson, but it was an effective lesson, and for a few dollars, I started picking up surge protectors whenever they were on sale. Belkin is a seriously great company, so I was delighted to find this unit offered as an add-on. But even at full price, they are worth every penny, don't wait for a blown out monitor or television to protect your valuable electronic equipment!! I like Belkin products because they are usually well-designed and reasonably priced. This 6-outlet surge suppressor is very light and compact, measuring 10 1/4 by 2 inches, and the cord is just over 2 feet long. I bring this with me whenever I travel, so that I can plug in many more electronic gadgets to charge at the same time. I was told by a hotel clerk that many people forget to remove chargers from the wall outlet when they leave. By using this surge suppressor, I am less likely to forget, because all the plugs and adapters are plugged into it on the desk/table, instead of under it. There is a on/off switch that is nearly impossible to be accidentally tripped, as it is recessed and out of way. This is a basic and high quality surge suppressor at a very good price.

I got my Belkin 6-Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector with 2.5-Foot Cord & Straight Plug, BE106000-2.5. It was perfect. My dad hates the lights and this was for her bedlight and blanket warmer. So finding a surge protector that doesn't have a light is hard. This one works perfectly and he is safe and happy! NOT 720 Joules of Protection as listed. I did unfortunately buy this product based on this spec. Read the detailed description. This is only rated at 555 Joules of Surge Protection and this is CLEARLY marked on the product packaging which is not represented online. Otherwise, I haven't anything more to add as of yet. For the price, Not worth returning for this misinformation, and I suspect it will suffice for my needs. I will update later if compelled to do so.

I got this to plug lamps, clocks, and that sort of thing into. I got something cheap because I'm not too worried about surge suppression. Pro: + Decent construction + Power switch is on the edge the cord comes out of, so no accidentally hitting it when you plug stuff in! + 4' cord is plenty long. + Power switch doesn't light up, so doesn't produce any extra light. Con: - Didn't see a circuit breaker for the surge suppressor, maybe it's built into the switch? I don't need it so I'm not removing stars for this. Overall, very happy for this for cheap appliances. Maybe I'll buy something more expensive for computers.

I desperately needed more plug Outlets in this tiny apartment. This plug strip is outstanding and easily has room for all of your direct plugins. The on-off switch As on the end which makes it harder to accidentally turn off your power strip. It has a long cord which I needed and It just fits every purpose that I have. This is an excellent power strip at a good price and it came very early.

I have used many quality Belkin surge protectors over the years with no issues, and under initial review there is nothing wrong with this product. The only drawback to this model surge protector is that there isn't any indicator lights to verify that the surge protector is 'grounded' and 'protected' like others for instance. But for its price, its not a big deal as long as it gets the job done; though it would be reassuring to know that it was. With the cost of electronics as high as they are its better to be safe than sorry and some protection is better than none.

This surge protector is a great value. I bought it at $6.33 shipped and it has served me well. Just needed something to get me a couple feet from behind the couch while protecting my electronics that were plugged in. I also like the fact that Belkin is a well known company so if my stuff gets fried, I would expect good service. Bottom line... Go for it if 4 feet is enough length for you and you don't need a "flat" plug. It's well worth the inexpensive cost. I'll update the review if it doesn't live up to it's 5 star rating over time.
