Last month I got a couple of hats and was so impressed by the quality and fit (and they looked great too), that I've bought 5 altogether. I needed a black Fedora quick for a gangster role in a murder mystery fundraiser, so I went--as always in these situations--to Amazon. Some of those listed were real garbage, but this one seemed to be acceptable by those who had purchased it. Appearance-wise, it looks to be a nice hat. It is a traditional Fedora design, with a black ribbon band. The rim acts as it should, so you can pop it all down, or the front, or the side, and it remains where you put it. The reason it is not mistakable as a high-quality Fedora is the thickness of the felt: it is noticeably thin. That makes it light, but it also does not have the "presence" of, say, a Stetson. Their claim is that this makes it breathable as well. One more thing I like about it is that the material it is at least partially made from is derived from bamboo. We gave this to my husband's father for Christmas. Unfortunately, there was a death in the family during the holidays and he wore this hat to the funeral and really liked it. It fit perfectly and kept his head toasty warm while having to be outdoors during cold weather. It is very well made and doesn't have too large of a brim. Very classic in style. When the hat is sitting properly centered, the pinch points right at about 1 o'clock. This was not an expensive hat, but still I expected better. I guess you get what you pay for. I will be returning to buy a more expensive one.
