First the look. Simple clean and well made looking like it cost far more than it does. The items are thick enough to be functional yet thin enough to look clean and classy and not bulky and goofy. The feel. I cannot describe how soft these are, the outer shell is typical cotton material soft and familiar, but the inner lining of the hat and gloves is where the magic lies... its a faux fur, silky smooth lining that is very warm and VERY soft and lovely. The setup functions as one would expect even on negative degree days (we just had a long bought of sub zero days and evenings in Chicago) and the warmth just holds so well you forget you're in such cold temps, the neck covers with room to spare without choking, the hat comes down to the brows and over the ears without having to stretch it or have it creep above either location while walking around. The gloves fit like gloves should and they do not hinder touch screen uses. Even ATMs, and the like which ive had touchscreen gloves in the past where you are fighting to make it work or give up and take the glove off which is a hassle. All in all these are great! I also got a set for my wife and daughter each, theirs came with scarves rather than neck warmer, but I'll take the gator over the scarf any day of the week ... show more

I don't think I've ever had a matching set of winter stuff in my life. The price on this was pretty hard to pass up compared to so many other things you'd find at a target or tjmaxx or some such, so I decided to give it a shot. I wanted to have a set of something that might help against a windy winter commute on a bike or electric scooter, and I did receive that about 2/3rd of the way. The hat and neck piece are wonderful, and are indeed lined underneath. This does a wonderful job of keeping neck and ears super warm. The gloves, while they do fit nice, are not lined at all. This means that going out for a ride on a bike or scooter going over 10 mph, the wind is going to seep RIGHT through these gloves. I bought this under the impression that the gloves would have at least SOME protection from wind, but they just don't and that's a super bummer. I'll dock it a star, but it's definitely not enough for me to want to return the whole set. I really do like it a lot, and I can get me an extra pair of gloves that do a better job, and save these for normal walking/train commutes into the city. They do wonderfully at that. ... show more
