Features

  • Whether you're a keyboardist, drummer, or other musician whose performance keeps them anchored in one spot, the P2 Ultra-Compact Personal In-Ear Monitor Amplifier was designed specifically for you. A convenient hard-wired personal in-ear control center, the P2's belt pack puts monitor control right at your fingertips, plus it's powerful, lightweight and ultra-easy to use.
  • You can use your favorite headphones, earbuds or custom-molded professional InEar Monitors (IEMs) with the P2, thanks to the top-mounted, standard 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo output jack.
  • Because your monitor is crucial to your performance, P2's XLR / TRS combo input connector features a locking mechanism to prevent accidental mic cable disconnects. Just press the tab next to the bottom-mounted connector to release the cable at the end of the gig. It is important to note that P2's XLR input accepts balanced line signals taken directly from your mixer, allowing you to control the volume of the onboard amplifier.
  • P2's internal Mono/Stereo switch lets you choose the mode that best fits your needs. When using your mixers aux send or any other mono source, move the switch to the Mono position. For connecting to a headphone output or other stereo source, simply set the switch to Stereo and use an XLR-to-TRS or TRS-to-TRS (male to male) cable.
  • The P2 features an extremely high-quality level control with on/off switch for dialing in the perfect level every time. Designed for long life and super-smooth performance, this detented control stays where you put it.
  • When you do need to move around, say to change your amp or stomp settings, P2's built-in belt clip will always keep it close at hand. Just slip the P2 onto your waistband or belt and let the good times roll!

  • Another dependable Behringer product!
Solid product and has clear sound. I really like the volume controls and the fact that you can turn it completely off, which saves battery. I'm looking forward to testing this with my band during live performances.

  • Perfect product at a perfect price, especially for the skeptical.
I play drums for a few local groups and one touring show. It was on the road with the touring show that I was introduced to the Behringer P1. The soundman for the show carries a dozen of them and offered the use of one with a set of earbuds as an alternative to a floor monitor. I was skeptical at first, but very quickly learned to appreciate the benefits of having the sound delivered directly to my ears. It cuts down on the overall stage volume of the band, making the soundman's job a little easier, and with my own personal mix including my kit, it enables me to relax and not overplay volume-wise, which in turn allows me to use more finesse. When I started using the P1 and earbuds with my local groups in which I sing harmony as well as play, the resulting change was phenomenal. What had been true for my drumming was doubly so for singing. Intonation and balance are so much more easily achieved. So far I have gotten three bandmates to switch, saving us tons of floor space in crowded clubs, and cutting back significantly on the stage volume. I know you can spend as much as you want for in-ear monitor ability, but it would have to be a huge difference in sound quality to convince me to switch! ... show more

  • Perfect for basic in ear monitors!

  • highly recommend this simple personal monitor
It really doesn't get much more simple than this for personal monitoring. TRS/XLR input from the bottom, power/volume knob the top. Inside, is the hidden stereo/mono switch (which needs to align to the source, not your wishes) and spots for 2 AAA batteries. Send in a line-level signal that used to go to your powered monitors (or monitor bi-amp) and you're golden. I have only used mine for practice, but the sound is good, and the cable was not nearly as limiting as I thought it would be. If you already have a cable running from your instrument to a pedalboard or and amp, you're already leashed. I just ran my monitoring cable alongside the instrument cable, and attached the belt clip to my guitar strap. I imagine, when I take it live, I'll Velcro-strip the cables together, but whatev. For the price, it is kinda crazy to not do this versus continuing to suffer with stage wedges - and the stage noise and sound hot spots they create. Not to mention all the extra gear you don't need to haul around anymore. Behringer is a known brand, and since the mergers with other companies (like Midas pre-amps), I think their product offerings are significantly better than they were 20 years ago. These are so inexpensive, I bought extras so when we have a guest performer, s/he can simply patch in. Would and will buy again. ... show more

  • Very Sturdy, portable, loud.
This is an exelent product. One your studio or live engineer knows what they're doing, you'll love this. Very sturdy and built well as mine fell hard a few times and nothing has changed, not even a chip on the paint (hats off to Behringer). As long as you dont forget to turn it off when not in use, the battery lasts very long. I would say 12 hours or more battery life. The volume/ power knob feels great and the belt clip is very convenient. ... show more

  • Such a valuable piece of gear to have! TONS of Bang-for-the-Buck!
I have used these in place of more expensive wireless solutions for the last several years week in and week out for our church gatherings. I truly cannot say enough good things about it. I purchased these as we simply could not afford the MASSIVE expense of wireless IEM systems. To be honest, the sound quality of these devices, being hardwired, is actually LIGHTYEARS better than any wireless IEM set i've ever used. These are great. Batteries last us several months using these each week for several hours, PLENTY of headroom for all applications (drummers included). Love the ability to go mono or stereo with the internal dip switch. These really have it all... I will say this if i could've given 4.5 stars, I might've, but ONLY for the fact the the TRS input (which is what I use for Stereo IEM's into this device) doesn't have any kind of a locking mechanism to keep it plugged in. If that were in place, this would literally be the perfect little device for a non-wireless live IEM application on a budget. That said, I have also NEVER had a TRS cable come out of the plug for myself or others on my team, so... I figured given that, it gets rounded up to 5 starts, because i absolutely love these things. HIGHLY recommend these. Just remind your people they are plugged in and to take these off of their belts before exiting ;-) ... show more
