  • Great mixer for the price !
I am not used to using a mixer with the number of features that this mixer has-that said, once I used it for awhile, I really have been impressed with its operation. I am running two of Behringers' 12 inch powered speakers. The system has great power and quality of sound. Of course there are many systems that are better than this, but for the money and what I us it for it is great. ... show more

  • Very easy to use
Awesome board with many features. I'm running this to utilize with bands and party music. My setup is: 1. MAIN L/R passive output to behringer equalizer then to iNUKE-6000 power amp and then to 2 JBL PRX 415's as my mains. 2. MON 2 send passive output to CROWN xti-II 4002 power amp bridge sub mode and then to 2 JBL PRX 418's (Allows me to isolate my low end to just IPOD music, KICK MIC, and KEYBOARDS 3. Powered output is switched to MON 1(A)-MONO (B). (A) output is used to run monitors by linking speakers (Board equalizer can be used for either mains or mon1, I switch it to MON1 and use it to EQ my monitors). MONO (B) is currently not used but could be used to isolate another out going speaker or to a speaker in another VIP room. 4. I bought audio technica headphones and it came with a 1/4" jack adapter for the board insert. PFL buttons for every channel allow the person running the board to isolate different signals. 5. FX effects are awesome and able to be sent to both MAIN signals and both MON 1 & MON 2. The voice pitch effects are perfect for haunted houses and crazy voices. Im going to totally do a haunted house this coming Halloween 2014. Only suggestion would be to buy the PMP6000 board because it is not that much more in cost and weight but allows for two FX channels and and more input/output jacks. ... show more

  • A Perfect Fit
I just needed a small powered mixer for some live jams I was doing and this fit the bill perfectly. At about 400 watts at 8 ohms (I believe), this did fine pushing 4 vocals, kick drum and occasional bass guitar. Granted, that's not very much in terms of what kind of load I was pushing but it didn't even break a sweat. The "karaoke" thing is ok. It sounds like it just adds reverb to the main track to push it back in the mix. But for what it is, it does it well. ... show more

  • No where near 800 watts per channel.
Set this up with the Ev speakers, the sound is not loud enough even turn the volume to maximum, I don’t think it put out 800 watts per channel, I used to have a 400 watts per channel mixer and it is much louder than this one. Some of the switches are loose on first use.

  • Great mixer for a great price, little under powered
This is a great powered mixer and exactly what I needed for a steal of a price. I'm in a local cover band and use it in my home studio to practice with the band and will eventually use it out to run sound and power monitors. Tip: I saw some reviews saying they didn't like that it doesn't have track by track outputs. This isn't totally true. When I'm at home we record track by track from the mixer into my computer setup. The mixer has Insert I/O ports for every track. If you put a 1/4 inch TS cable into that port to only the first click (not all the way in) you will get a line out of the source. I take that line out and run them into my computer audio device (see pics). The output won't have any effects from the mixer but I like it better that way cause then i can really craft the sound on the recording software. I took off one star as it seems under powered. Theoretically I should be able to run two large passive speakers with this mixer to play a decent sized gig. From what I've played around with it doesn't have enough power for that. We're gonna use the mixer to run a couple sets of monitors which should be enough power. Also, in the dual mono output mode, we'll be able to have one monitor set playing the main output and another playing a custom output in case the vocals want to hear themselves higher in the mix which is a nice option. We'll have to get some powered mains to run off the main preamp output but with those, our passive monitors and this mixer we got a full rig for a low price. Sound is good. I'm not getting any noise when its turned up and everything sounds very clear. Haven't really tried the surround option in a live setting but that could be really neat. Hoping the reliability is good but we'll see. The effects on here are okay but our vocals have their own processors so they won't get used much. If you want to run a dedicated sub channel or will use a lot of mixer effects and want the option to run effects combos on each track then look at the PMP6000. ... show more
