Description

The Ridge Grappler tires by Nitto are engineered for all-terrain performance. They feature a dynamic hybrid tread design for quiet and comfortable rides on roads thanks to their variable pitch tread pattern. The lateral Z grooves and shoulder grooves in varying lengths and widths expel mud and slush for better traction and improve grip for better maneuverability. The step block edges and alternating tapered edges add biting edges for better wet and dry traction.

Researched many tires to replace my OEM Firestone's on our Ram 3500. After 4-5 months of research and going back and forth on a couple brands and tire choices I decided on the Nitto Ridge Grappler AT tire. I wanted a tire that performed well: off road, towing, towing off road, hauling heavy loads, good on street, AND NOT NOISY. The Ridge Grapplers have proven to accomplish each of those "wants" and beyond my expectations so far. The only thing I cannot report on is tire wear and tire life/miles I expect to get out of them. I will report back once I get more miles driven on them and can give some solid feedback on that. These tires are very quiet considering how aggressive the tread pattern is. I start to hear a low hum in the cab of the truck once up around 65-70MPH. They are at their loudest when taking curves at higher speeds. You don't hear these tires from blocks away like you can with many of my friends trucks with aggressive AT or mud tires. I have not noticed a decrease in fuel mpg. Still getting 15-17mpg around town. I run the tires at 75psi front and 70psi rear. I haul heavy loads often and with the heavy diesel engine up front I keep the psi up fairly high. The good news is these tires ride A LOT smoother than my OEM Firestones at the higher psi so I am not always having to raise or lower the pressures. Very happy about that. I also chose to stay with the stock tire size and not go larger. They look great in my opinion and have no regrets with that choice. Overall these have been a great tire and thankful I ended up choosing them. Will update this review if that changes and when I get a feel on how they are wearing. Pictures show before and after tire with the OEM Firestones. My tires are Made in USA. Thank you Nitto for making them in America. I’m already familiar with this tire bought it 4 years ago and still 50 % life left so bought it for my 17 f 250 this time was some how concern about fitting but obviously all good wouldn’t but anything else but these

I'll start by saying the tire arrived on time and perfect as if I bought from an actual tire shop. I knew the exact fitment I needed and that's what I recieved. The only and I stress only reason it's a 4 star and not five is because it's a soft tire I go trailing in the southern desert. These tires are great in mud but, rocky dry terrain even going "easy" they cunck out. I only bought one and the other 3 have 10k miles. These tires are absolutely the best tire I've ever bought. I have a Z71 4 door and these work great in every terrain! Hardly any road noise and they are wearing very nice! Don’t bother ordering these tires- better off getting them from Firestone or a local wholesaler! Took a full 2 weeks for it 3 tires to ship out and 4th tires was sent out in 3rd week.
