Please see my picture. For being new to this I think they turned out pretty darn good. I just can’t afford the salon anymore. I’m 60 and I’m learning to do it for myself. So far i think this is a nice kit for the money. Please know for those new to this It’s not that hard but more time consuming and gets easier with practice. I wanted a French look and doing a dip at home alone in general to me takes a long time but French takes twice as long and a lot of patience. Just fyi to get my French look I put a thin layer of of base coat and then dipped in clear/translucent on the entire nail then painted the base coat only on the tip of my nail where I wanted the white to be (be careful to brush the base coat brush several times on the opening of the bottle to get excess off until you hardly have any left on the brush before you use on the tip of your nail make sure you don’t get any of the base coat underneath your nail tip. After putting thin layer only on the tip of my nail I dipped just the tip of my nail in white I did this 2 times (you can do it as many times you want to get the desired white you want but be aware it will make tip thicker the more times you do it but you can file down later to make them thinner and blend well with the rest of the nail). After I finished the tips I went back and did the entire nail again with the clear 2 times very thin coats. It’s only been 2 days so I can’t say how long it last without lifting. But all in all I really like my nails. I just which they would sell just clear and white dip kits not all the colors I’ll never use. I also used my own files I first used corse to file edges and top of nail if there where any part uneven per say or if the tip white was to thick I filed it down to meet the rest of my nail then I used a fine file to do the entire nail and sides and tip smoothing it out and then I buffed all my nails and then put the clear top coat. For some reason they don’t tell you to file the entire nail top, tip and sides to get desired shape and smoothness. But don’t be afraid to do this and when I was done filing and shaping I put another layer of the activator again and let dry for a few minutes then put clear top coat. Another hint is to make sure after you put the activator on your nails when you’re finish dipping make sure your nails are completely dry before you start to file. I love this dip powder! It is so smooth and easy to apply! Looks great and will last a few weeks! I’m very hard on my hands and I’m in the kitchen cooking and running my hands under water all the time and these are holding up soooooo well! This is a perfect product with poly-gel extensions but even if you do it on regular nails it works great! I also did my toes and they look great!

I'm pretty mean to my nails, always biting them. I even peel off Gel within 2 weeks (impossible? not for me). This lasted 8 days so far - see below days 1, 5, 7, and 8. Some cracks show at the edges on day 8, but they still shine! Note that preparing the nail, trimming the cuticles and applying the base coat so it doesn't touch the cuticles is very, very important because cracks start where the surface is uneven (=cuticles). If my preparation was better they would probably last longer.

I got Guilded wisper set. Arrived great not broken by travel for me, they have glitters ( blue glitter on pink, gold on medium pink, gold on darker pink) also off white, common salon pink, and a nude. I love each color and enjoyed the instructions. The files are pretty strong so dont scrape your skin like me. Im happy with everything that comes in the box!

As someone who went to cosmetology school and learned about nails & how to do them - this kit is super affordable and very easy to use! If done correctly, it’s not grainy and you have the perfect finish. They last a long time too! I sometimes use nail tips as well to make my nails longer and this product works great with nail tips as well. It’s super affordable and a great product for the price you pay! I think the colors are pretty true to the photo. This is the lilac/purple shade. Highly recommend this kit!

Unfortunately, the french manicure set colors are much more transparent than the picture (the white is basically clear), so I will be returning. The brushes are also very poor quality.
