  • Comes in handy often!
A great 'fun' songbook, especially if you are an advanced pianist who is good at sight reading. Nothing here is crazy hard, and I'd say that this book tends to chose fun and flashy pieces, BUT many of them have substance. "Tempest", "Moonlight" and "Pathetique" are not very difficult but very fun. This book also includes many of Beethoven's Bagatelles which are really great for sight reading. Not to mention "Rage over a lost penny" which I read today. I found that this was a much better buy then getting a book such as "the best of Beethoven's sonatas" or a book of his small works, this book is surprisingly useful, because it tends to have what you are looking for at least half the time, and it is a good enough of a binding to not be a hassle. ... show more

  • Good Collection, No Ornamentation
It's basically what the title says. I've been trying to a good collection classical piano pieces with all of the important ornamentation in it, (e.g. crescendo, decrescendo, etc.), but it's been difficult, and this one is no different. I remember "Für Elise" having a bunch of different dynamics for it when I had to play it for a competition, and I found this book missing all of them. If you don't care about that sort of thing, then the book is fine. ... show more

  • Nice shee music
It may be just personal taste, but it has a collection that I like. Not an expert, so I can't comment on different styles of sheets for same piece people talk about.

  • Beethoven Masterpieces for Solo Piano: 25 Works
Mainly wanted it for one of the Sonata's. Good arrangements. Not sure the Bagatelles and Sonatinas would be selections I would choose but they are nice to have, and this is why the 4 stars. Don't know why they put these selections together unless they throw in a couple of ones everyone wants in each book then you will buy more books. It was cheaper to buy this book than to buy two of the Sonatas separately. The black print is nice and shows up well. ... show more
