Best Beginning Marimba/Xylophone Book

I am a teacher and have found this book to be especially helpful for students to remember the way to hold mallets and to hit the bars on the marimba. It is a beginning book that shows pictures to enhance a lesson when the student goes home to practice. It teaches notes, time value, key signature, etc. page by page. It is self explanitory. I have always used this to go along with songs I arrnge for the students at their level. Later in the book, she presents short songs as well. You will love it!

My 11-year-old daughter is teaching herself the xylophone and enjoys using this book. It starts with simple songs that motivate her to want to practice. (In fact, she's always begging to practice her xylophone rather than her clarinet--which she's taking formal lessons for!)
