Just fire that little thing up and replace it for an old desktop P3 . No problems at all smooth operation, fantastic little PC, it is now serving for a 55 inch TV, works perfect. Some remarks : 1) update the Intel drivers with the intel drive and support tool you can download that tool at the windows site . 2) i removed all Japanese and Chinese character sets it seems to me that Windows will install new instructions 3) No dual pipeline ram, no big deal works just fine . 4) Run into a problem , i tried to install a Samsung 640 EVO SSD , the U57 refuse to boot , the SSD is working trough an USB port , send an e-mail to customer support , still waiting for an answer . 5) The Realtek audio console is not working tried everything , no success. (windows problem ?) 6) An older Microsoft USB camera/microphone not longer working , under investigation (windows problem ?) If i find more i will update this review, so far happy ( but a lot less ) Beelink customer service informed me that the Samsung 840 EVO 256 Gb and the 870 QVO 1Tb are not compatible for an internal SSD, only as USB drive . It would be nice if they made a list with compatible SSD , now i bought a brand new SSD and have to use it as an external instead as an internal . I had to try an other brand i told them that that was a expensive gamble ! This is NOT good Beelink No answers yet on the other problems . Next case ! Beelink advertise dual channel RAM , so i bought a new Ram kit , open de PC and amazing just one RAM connector , Beelink where do i stick my second peace of RAM ? And the next case ! It was overheating so much that it throttled so far back that is was useless , needed every time a restart. The little fan inside does not get air enough, ( out of his housing it goes much better after tweaking the bios and a bios update , fan has to run 100 all the time.) I will mount a 50x50 USB ventilator on top of the housing at the processor side. ... show more

For what it is, it is a lovely product. A tiny, capable PC. The CPU is a bit dated (a 5th Gen I5 circa 2015) but it is still fine for normal operations. The built in graphics can run some older 3D games without a hitch too. I'm dinging stars for the following: 1. The "silent" fan that is "as low as 20db" is accurate when it is idle, but it is "as loud as 60+ db" when it decides to spin up - which is often when the PC is under any load. It sounds like a mini-vacuum cleaner. 2. The power adapter is enormous. Rather than a power block with a friendly cord, it is one big plug block The plug is not grounded, so it is only 2 prong, but it does not play well on a power strip without blocking adjacent plugs due to the overwhelming size. I'd recommend a squid-style power strip if you're going to use this near other electronics. 3. The big one - Beelink's "customer support". I bought a unit in January and it started acting up towards the end of February, past the point of returning it through Amazon. I contacted their support and was told to replace the RAM and SSD and contact them if that didn't work. RAM and a SSD that was sold with the unit I bought. So let me get this straight, I need to replace hardware that I bought, at my own expense, before they would do anything. Correct. So I spent $60 replacing the RAM and SSD and the unit works fine again -- but I will never again buy a Beelink product because of it. ... show more

It gets 2 stars instead of 1 just because it might be all you need *IF* you don't want to use the expansion SSD. Pros: - It is small and powerful. - Graphics and WiFi work quite well. - Bee-Link support responded within hours on multiple inquiries to them. (The solutions and recommendations were not helpful however). Cons: - There are known issues they have regarding the use of an additional SSD. These are documented on the Bee-link support forum. Samsung EVO SSDs cause the PC to not boot. In my case I have a 1TB Crucial MX500 that it recognized and I partitioned and formatted. However, after copying about 650MB data over the drive would 'disappear' from Windows Explorer. Disk Management would see it but would say it was RAW and needed to be partitioned. Without doing anything I would reboot and it would be visible and accessible again. The drive worked fine (with all data intact) in my other computer. I had Amazon replace it and experienced the identical problem with the drive on the replacement PC. Bee-link support's recommendation: "You can try to install the 2.5-inch hard disk to a portable hard disk box or other computer for formatting" - The biggest problem I have is that the manufacturer KNOWS they have issues and the only brand of SSD they recommend to work is Kingston. Yet they still answer questions on Amazon about the product without disclosing this. - Another issue is that both PCs I received shipped with a BIOS that is marked as an EVALUATION COPY (see attached screenshot). In my experience in the industry that designation is used for beta software (i.e. untested/uncertified) or a license not to be sold. Bee-link support's response to my inquiry as to how to update the BIOS was "Hi, Sorry there is no BIOS update available for U57. Best regards". My recommendation is to do what I did after returning both Bee-link PCs. Check out the Guzila mini-pc that also sports an Intel I5 processor. It has more USB ports, a COM port, supports 3 monitors and is fanless so it makes no more noise than your cell phone.
