    • Needs thicker gloves
Great suit but the gloves are so thin the bees were stinging thru them. Had to duct tape spots around the zipper to keep bees out as well. But my husband survived so that’s why we say 4 stars

    • Works well for a beginner or backup suit
Solid fit, good protection. For the price, this is a great beginner beekeeping suit or good for a spare to have on hand for a friend. The leg fit is a bit loose, so make sure you have something good to tuck the pants into. No major concerns here though, this is a great suit.

So I am just getting into beekeeping this year. I've got almost all of my supplies now including this suit. The stitching on the suit seems to be good quality. All of the zippers function well. I'm 6' tall and 230lbs, and the largest size fits me pretty well. This also came with gloves but I forgot to take a picture of them. I don't know how much material is really needed to protect from bee stings, but this material feels very sheer. I think I'll be wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath as well.     • Good suit for bee keeping.
I have been keeping bees since 2000 and currently have 4 hives. Having a good suit is essential to have in my inventory. This suit is a good suit. During the summer, it is important to have a suit that protects and that is both light weight and breaths. This suit does all three. I like the fencing style helmet over the other types of head protection. They zippers are such that cover any holes so the bees don't get in. The gloves that come with the suit are a good glove but they don't have ventilation around the wrist but they work to protect the hands and fore arms. We are purchasing our first beehive and mentorship this year. We have one bee suit, but will need a second since both my husband and I will need to be at the hive together to receive instruction. This is a nice, economical suit that will do the trick!

This is a great product for the price. I have not had the chance to wear it in action yet, but so far I see no holes, seams are well supported, and heavy duty enough for the job. It’s pretty breathable, which is a plus. I like that you can zipper the hood off. The sizing is way off though.
