I was very hesitant to order bunkbeds online without seeing them, but I took the plunge with these after reading the reviews. What a GREAT decision!! They arrived in a timely manner, without any damage. There are a lot of pieces to put together, and you need to pay careful attention to the directions. I put the first set together by myself, but it was much easier with two people on the second set (couple of hours). Besides their crisp, bright white finish and nice head-room on the lower bunk, what I'm most pleased with is the quality and sturdiness of these bunks. They are SOLIDLY built (no shaking or wobbling) with plenty of crossbar support. I feel confident our adult guests will sleep well in these. One upper rail did come warped. I contacts Bedz King's customer service via email, and within 2 hours, they had shipped out a replacement part via FedEx-AMAZING customer service! Really like this unit. Very sturdy, which is important for safety. It took a few hours to assemble, but was not difficult. Just a lot of parts to put together. Instructions were spot on, so it was easy. Everything was packaged well - it came in two boxes (both arrived at the same time.) One person can assemble the beds (which I did) even though it calls for two. You do need two people to lift the upper bed onto the lower bed as the final step. ... show more

With 7 kids, we have owned many bunk beds including others that didn't hold up or were not functional and sent back. This one is GOOD!!! The end ladder is a huge bonus and works perfectly with our room. This bed is taller than others and gives ample room on bottom bunk. I appreciate the extra tall railing on the top bunk. 2 person job- 4 hours. Left my home smelling like fresh cut wood for a week but no biggie. Well worth it. Bed is long enough for a growing 11 year old that’s 62 inches tall and 100lbs. She loves it. She has a lot of clearance on top of the bed to the ceiling. There’s adequate clearance for an adult who’s 64in tall to sit comfortable on the bottom bunk. The people who delivered the multiple pieces were amazing and careful. For the extra fee, they brought it upstairs to my daughters’ room with no issue. Definitely worth the upcharge. ... show more

This is my second Bedz King Tall bunk bed - the previous one was honey stain for my older daughter. They have improved the design a bit in the past four years, and it is even sturdier. Moreover, the parts are very well labelled now so there was no confusion putting it together. It took me about 8 hours to assemble this bed by myself - just had someone help me lift the top bunk onto the bottom. But this is a really solid bed! My only wish is that they had the option of a side ladder for the tall mission style bunk bed. Still, nice product at a reasonable price (~$400 on sale). ... show more

After glowing customer reviews, I purchased this bunk bed for a rental property so kids and adults would be safe using it. When building, it was clear early on this was the same kind of cheap, fast growing, soft pine as all other low quality bunk beds on the market. The wood easily dents and the paint chips off. Some boards arrived warped, but straightened when fastened together. Others were cracked, scratched, broken and dented. Brazilian lumber? Don't be fooled - this is not solid or sturdy. I weigh 115 lbs and easily flexed bed parts. Parts are connected with screws that bite into the wood like butter. The top and bottom bunks are only connected with a large dowel and 4 small screws. This should be half the price and marketed for small children. The stairs are a whole other issue. If you go with the bunk - get the ladder instead. I ended up chucking the stairs and had to purchase a ladder separately for another $189. I would not trust the stairs to hold up under an adult's weight. They are attached to the bed with 4 small screws. If you ever need to move the bed for cleaning, it all moves together and could easily break apart (bed from stairs). This is the most disappointing furniture purchase I've ever made. And, I bought 3 sets! Would love to return, but the expense of shipping and restocking is not worth it. ... show more

Well built beds -- grand children love them. A bit trick to put together -- be very careful about left and right to avoid making mistakes. As others have mentioned, it take about 4 hours to put together.
