  • Gorgeous bunk bed!
Color: White
After final assembly this bed is very cute and very sturdy seeming. It came with enough parts to assemble and aside from a minor scratch or two the wood was in good condition. This took two of us the better part of 6 or 7 hours to assemble. That said, it's worth it. I couldn't find a similar style of bunk bed anywhere at my local furniture stores (both big name and mom/pop) and I knew I really wanted the stairs. I grew up with the traditional ladder bunk and as our youngest would make me nervous with a ladder. This bed is sturdy and far more well made than my childhood bunks, the slats under the top bunk mattress are reinforced with an extra bar and the railing is also very sturdy. This bed is colossal and takes up a pretty decent amount of space, but it allowed us to get rid of dressers due to the massive amount of storage space provided in the drawers. Please note that the bottom drawers under the bed are not on tracks, these just have casters that easily roll on our patterned Berber carper. My biggest concern for this bed is how the drawers hold up over time as kids are very hard on furniture anyways and I have already seen them standing in the drawers. The amount of garbage that this is packed in is ridiculous, be prepared for three garbage bags stuffed full of bags and Styrofoam and a massive stack of cardboard. While I'm grateful it arrived undamaged it's kinda of obscene how much trash there was. ... show more

  • Awesome bunk bed that's sturdy and well built. (Have Advil ready for your back after its complete!) Awesome bunk bed that's sturdy and well built. (Have Advil ready for your back after its complete!)
Color: White
I'm a handy person and was excited to tackle the building of this bed. Product ships in multiple packages that aren't necessarily labeled as to their contents. So, a large work area is a must to unpack and organize the different pieces. Products are well packed, and each piece is labeled with a small sticker for easy identification during the build process. 99% of the pieces were perfect, and only one or two had small imperfections that were able to be hidden on the wall side of the bed. It took me about 7 hours by myself to build the entire bed with storage drawers with a few lower back breaks and lunch. Factored into that time was also the multiple trips to and from the garage where I was assembling pieces and then taking them into the bedroom. The pieces went together exactly as they should have. I was impressed at the exactness of the fit when attaching multiple pieces together. Screw holes and dowel holes lined right up with no issue. I only needed another persons help when taking one bed fully assembled and stacking it on the other. Otherwise, the pieces are able to be moved by any ordinary capable person, and if you're assembling it in the room its going in, it'll be even easier. I chose the garage as I needed to organize all the parts and get my game plan. I will say, you NEED to use a powered screw driver even though I think the manufacturer doesn't suggest it. If you don't have one, I don't know if i'd attempt building this myself honestly. Your fingers and hands will suffer greatly as there are a LOT of things to screw in/together. For instance, there are (I think) 56 screws, 28 per bed for just the wooden slats alone that hold the mattress up. Do yourself a favor and use a power tool. Turn the torque down so you don't split the wood, and hand tighten the things that need to be nice and tight. The only "obstacle" I encountered and I have a hard time even calling it that, was when reading the directions as to which way to orient the stairs (left entry or right). I ended up using the "right" which actually is "left" to my brain. The kids go up the stairs and go left into the bed. The only thing I can think the manufacturer meant by "right" in my case is the railing is on the right, not the entrance. So, that's what I put in my mind as I went through the multiple steps for a "right" orientation. Other than that, the quality is superb and the instructions are fantastic. For an almost $1000 bed for kids, I'd hope to have these things at a minimum, and they delivered. Its a big purchase that I dont regret one bit. ... show more

Definitely recommend! Lots of storage, super sturdy, and looks so great in their room! Pretty easy to put together if you follow directions, although it is a bit of work, but overall super pleased!

  • High-quality easy to put together
Color: White
High quality and not very difficult to assemble. You definitely need two people, but I am a non-mechanical female and I was able to get it put together in a couple of days taking my time. Very sturdy very good quality.

  • Quality Bunk Beds
Color: White
This bed is amazing and more than I ever expected. The wood is durable and sturdy which exceed all expectations. The height is perfect and the color was exactly what we were looking for. Assembly was super easy as we followed the directions.

  • Solid bed. Stairs were damaged.
The bed seems very solid. The stairs were a bit beat up and warped and more difficult to assemble as a result, but not bad enough to attempt a return or replace on such a massive item. The bed is shorter than I expected, which is fine for young children, but older children can’t sit up on the bottom bed, and I definitely can’t sit on the edge while putting a child to bed. Wasn’t a fan of the hardware provided (the nuts were funky and some hard to get in, depending on the angle you’re trying to work from). The hex wrenches were cheap and warped easily. Overall it’s a good bed though. I’m happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Sturdy and solid. Worth the extra $$
Color: White
Looking at other options that are less expensive don’t have the storage or the sturdiness. Say that this is solid wood and thus it should be more sturdy. Sturdy it is. After assembly the kids can climb it like a jungle gym with no issues. The steps are super tall so that can be tough for the kids but they adapt and just go slower. Once you buy this, I can’t see you needing to get the kids another bed until teenage years. -Sturdy/heavy -Solid construction -Assembly took about 6 hours, solo. Broke it up in 2 days due to work. -Storage space Small upgrades to request. -Wish it had 2 middle braces if the kids decide to jump more. -Wish it had one more vertical brace on the long sides to beef up support. -Wish the top small guard had 2 pins for lateral support, instead of just 1. -Wish delivery boxes where marked showing what was the bed, steps, and storage. You can make it out but a picture would help simplify it. No real Cons as the above are just quality of life adds. The price is a little high but you get a Solid bed that will last. Pay now and not worry for over a decade when the kids outgrow it. ... show more

  • Worth the money!
Color: White
Have had these bunk beds for three months now for my 4 and 5 year old boys. Excellent quality! Perfect size for them now but will work well for years to come. Other reviews are accurate. pleasantly surprised with the storage capacity of the drawers. I like that the bunk bed overall is proportionally sized for this age range so the top bunk only about 5’ in the air. So when that day inevitably comes when one pushes the other off the top bunk (which will take considerable doing considering the large side rails) they won’t have as far to fall. In our case there’s only a ceiling light and a few windows in the room, so at night the bottom bunk was so dim it was hard to read a bedtime story. We fixed that by buying a plug-in LED strip/bar light with a touch sensor and used command strips to stick it to the top of the lower bunk’s headboard. Voila! And he thinks having his own light is the best! I also added a few command strips with the metal hooks that pivot to the underside of the top bunk and the ceiling. That way each kid gets their own personal hook to hang stuff from (homemade Christmas ornaments, mini flashlight, etc). ... show more
