  • Pretty color the Straw. A light yellow just what I wanted.
Size: Twin (60" x 80") Color: Straw
Update: Ordered the grey at a 25% discount special in the twin because the Straw yellow ones were very nice and worked out as hoped. These are not a true twin at 66" wide blankets but they are great over sized throws for sure and of course in the RV where one bed is under 30" wide the width is fine. If however you are thinking of a full Cover not just coverlet or throw for a bed read the sizes before ordering and measure your bed across and sides to where you want to have the cover reach. Often a King is recommended for a queen and even sometimes for a double. And of course 66 by 80 or 66 x 90 is standard sized cover/comforter for a Twin bed XL too. So do the math and take the time to use a measuring tape. Buy one of those handy 60 to 120 inch fabric sewing measuring tapes if you don't want to be bothered with full metal tools. It's worth it for a lot of things and makes your life better. I worry about those who have never learned to avoid disappointments by in this case taking measurements and ordering the proper size to meet those expectations and what you have in mind. PS if you like these but want a thicker blanket and know someone who sews or you do open up the top or bottom and make into a duvet cover to fill with a lighter weight faux or alternative down comforter or perhaps an older faded favorite comforter. Then use zipper by the yard or buttons or snaps to close the opened end. You may add strings to the comforter and the inside seams to tie comforter or blanket to stay in place. You may need to remove the inside blanket/comforter when washing the larger sizes especially. But yes I've done this btw with other similar blankets. I am not a fan of these double blankets that are loose and without quilting or stitching or the buttons you can buy to pin through them they will shift apart and sometimes are annoying to maintain. I had a king size blanket just like these and it was totally annoying. I also sewed two over sized lovely throws together around their outside edges creating my own annoying similar situation. It did not work to hand stitch here and there through out the blankets to keep together either. In the end I opened one end up on those I made and filled with a very light weight comforter I had cut down to fit perfectly. And maybe due to the ties I also sewed inside to hold the insert in place it seemed to help with the slippage issue too. I'm still cutting up that king size mess for pillows and other items including just the back side of some pillows I make. I make a lot of pillows and throws using the fleece throws and blankets as fabric. Also jackets and bathrobes and PJ's. I'm in the process of making an adorable fleece shirt with pockets button down classic shirt jacket style out of my favorite fleece blanket from Costco that when I ordered the same blanket on line when store was out arrived totally different. One side was a match the other NOT? So I sewed it into one doubled over and the wonderful one I did have I hated to cut up for another blanket so a robe or jacket and jacket won. ORIGINAL: I'm not a fan of these two sided comforter fleece blankets or the large ones that is. But I went for two twins to use in my RV and at the foot of the guest bed when an in-law who loves all things yellow too visits. I figured the smaller size wouldn't be so awkward and weird like. I have one larger one that I attempted to stitch here and there throughout both sides together to prevent that slipping about oddly and annoyingly at times. However that really did not work well and I ended up removing the stitches I had added. I am thinking I may order a grey one too for a twin spare bed too. I'm still thinking that over. I have grey quilted cover and shams and maybe that would be a bit too much monochromatic color and an accent piece or something more with a design would work better. I have lovely moose on ivory white back ground that looks great with the greys so yeah...I'll see how will these wash and wear and maybe in a month I'll revisit this idea. The Twin size by the way makes a great living room or family room or TV room or even outside summer evening patio throw blankets for all and not too big for most smaller people and not too small for those tall over 6' folk we sometimes have. The wider 60 to 66 inch widths twins favor also usually drape over a larger person well too. So as lovely as a BIG blanket queen and King are they can be a bit difficult to manage and especially when they are these double sides put together. I also by the way make custom pillows out of this kind of blanket and single fleece throws and blankets and buy any size if the color catches my fancy for fabric. I have black and similar straw color single fleeces to make PJ robes this fall. I am planning to make a denim style jacket out of a brown fleece blanket I have too. I plan to line it with taffeta so it goes on smooth over T's and Turtle necks without drag. Love fleece no doubt about it. NEVER wash with any detergent or products that contain oxyclean anything. And don't use fabric softeners. Wash cool to cold non harsh laundry detergent and no other additives. Dry on cooler to warm not hot drier. And I will opt to line dry in summer when I can. The fleece may feel a tad stiff at first but usually a few shakes and it'll be right back soft and lovely. We have hard water and though our machine washer is hooked up to the water softened water for main house use it's still sometimes causes a bit stiffening to the fleece nap. Again this shakes out pretty well. And I don't use dryer sheets but now and again I have used a single sheet if the fleece tends to be static oriented. Most aren't too bad but dry winter air can change that. Overall I seem to get great results with care and common sense washing with all fleeces including this kind. I already washed these because as much as I love brand new I also these days prefer to wash fabrics before using. They are like new. Yummy. Once I get the sofa and dinette reupholstered in the next week or two for the RV my neighbor and I intend to have a Gal's movie night and watch a couple of girl flicks in the RV. It sets up as two twins and of course these blankets are going to be cozy part of the evening. Our hubby's aren't invited but not because they aren't welcome they are like NOT our KIND of MOVIES. Just keep in mind your purpose in buying. To cover a queen bed like a bedspread get a King. For just a cozy comfy throw or little extra warmth now and then think small. If you want to snuggle with your four footer fur babes maybe a bit larger depends on their size and numbers too. I recommend. And I love the color Straw as a light yellow not dingy like sometimes I've run into in this shade category. It's bright and clean shade. ... show more

  • This blanket should come with a warning label!
Size: Twin (60" x 80") Color: 02 - Navy
*Update 2: Three years later and I own two of these fleecy versions and four of the regular. My friend mentioned in this review gifted them to six people in her family for that same Christmas. They all loved it. All of them have held their color perfectly and are as soft as always, even after three years of washing. AND - as if by a miracle of Christmas Magic - they added CHRISTMAS-Y/WINTRY PATTERNS. I have a snowflake printed, red fleece-lined one that I swear, I must've stolen from Santa's very own bed (good thing the elves can make him more, huh?). You really should buy this blanket. Or buy six. Your call. But I vote for six.* *Almost a year later, and I am a blanket evangelist. I stand by everything I've said in this original review. It washes well, holds its softness and color and is just... THE MOST AMAZING BLANKET EVER. Not only that, but they've added new colors and I may need another one, since I gave one to our dog.* This blanket. I don't have words for the love that is this blanket. I thought about writing a love poem to it, but that seemed a bit much. But it needs a warning. You will buy one. You will love it. You will discover it is the softest, warmest, coziest blanket that has ever been made. In the history of blankets, there's never been a better one. No, really. Not if cozy and soft are your goals, anyway. You will tell people about it. They will want one. It started with my navy one, in the larger size. Then I knew my best friend who has an obsession with both blankets and the color purple (because duh, purple is awesome) would want one. So I ordered her one as an early Christmas gift. She just finished telling me how she now needs at least three more for other places in the house. This was after she IM'd me with OMG I LOVE MY BLANKET. I sent my mom a large red one for her birthday. My nephew, who is six, helped her unpack it. When he took it out he gushed about how soft it was and how he loved it. He told her, Grandma I need to warm it up for you tonight. So she let him borrow it. I then ordered him a light blue one (as an early Christmas gift, to keep him warm while he waits for Santa), which is a good thing because the second night he told her, I'm just gonna borrow your blanket for one more night, okay Grandma? And how could she say no to that? So he was delighted when the next day his own blanket arrived in his very favorite color. Although he did make a point of telling me he likes green, too. So a green one would be okay. You will feel like you're sleeping in Santa's bed with this thing. It belongs in the North Pole. It makes me believe in Santa and the magic of Christmas, because really there is no other possible explanation for anything so cozy and soft and perfect. I want a red one. And a purple one. Did I mention that all of this has transpired in under a month? And I've got two more friends who want one. SEE? It should come with a warning label that says: Caution... everyone you know will want this blanket. Buy this blanket. You know you want to. You know you want to feel enveloped in its cozy embrace. Trust me. Pick a color and buy it. Buy three. You'll need at least three. Especially if there are other people or pets in your house likely to steal yours. But whatever you do, stop looking for the perfect blanket. Because here it is. Right here. Waiting for you to love it and snuggle it. How can you refuse it's fluffy softness? Do you have a cold, black heart? No? Then you have no choice. This blanket needs you. You need this blanket. It's perfect. It will be one of the best relationships of your life. WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS? GO BUY IT NOW. ... show more

  • Best blanket but requires some upkeep
Size: Twin (60" x 80") Color: Black
I've had multiple of these for around a year now. They're very cozy and warm, perfect for winter/fall. That being said I followed the wash instructions on the label but accidentally ruined my first one and had to revive it. Here are some steps I would reccomend: 1) DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER- the fluffy sherpa bit will clump up and get rough and scratch after a few washes 2) Wash on gentle/delicates cold water. Use a detergent that gentle and works with polyester. If you don't have that then use baking soda, vinegar a small (like a tablespoon) of regular detergent. Put on a few extra low spin cycles to get the water out i needed. 3) Air dry if possible but otherwise tumble dry on delicate/ low or extra low. 4) If the Sherpa starts to clump up after its dries, or you've accidentally ruined the blanket and it's completely rough/scratchy- then get a pet hair brush. Garment brushes won't work, you'll need one of those wirey dog or cat brushes. I would recommend getting a large one. Brush out the blanket. This takes a while, but will revive the sherpa. I would do this every few washes to make sure the blanket stays super fluffy. ... show more

Holy Crap!!! This blanket is AMAZING!!! This is hands down my favorite blanket of all time! I was skeptical at first because it is on the thinner side but don't let that fool you! It is so warm and cozy! I live in Nevada and it snows over here so the nights get very cold and I am so happy I got this before the snow season because it is going to be such a clutch item to have! I 100% recommend this blanket!!!! ... show more
