First, I want to thank everyone who warned that the mattress should be unpacked carefully. It was well packaged, came with instructions and a small cutter designed to only cut the wrapping but not the mattress. Because of the multiple warnings, I did it very carefully and all went well. Following the instructions, I allowed the mattress to expand for 72 hours and it went to the full 12 inches, no problems here. Thus I wonder if the people who complained about it only expanding to 10 inches didn't allow the mattress to expand for the full 72 hours. Now the downside and the reason I am taking off one star: The mattress is not medium, but rather firm. Maybe this will change over time and if so, I will update my ranking and the review. But for now, I must say that it is very firm, not medium. Update: After one month, I must say the mattress is horrible. It really hurts either hip whenever I sleep on the side. And it keeps hurting once I am out and about during the day. Maybe it is tolerable for back sleepers only, but then it should be advertised as such. ... show more

Meh, decent mattress for the price. Too squishy, and you can feel the springs already. Doesn't seem like it'll hold up for long. I'm not sure they're quite there yet with the mattress-in-a-box thing.
