We had a long weekend trip planned, so the mattress arrived, we unboxed it and set in on the frame to expand and gas while we were gone. The mattress was well packed and protected when it arrived. The box weighs 130 pounds (according to the Fed-Ex delivery person) so you might want a second person to help unbox it and get it into position on the bed frame. We left it uncovered and took off for our weekend camping trip. When we returned 75 hours later, the mattress was completely expanded and any gassing odors were completely undetectable. It actually smelled great. We made the bed and climbed in. Talk about a comfortable, supportive, extra firm mattress. OMG!! We both just kinda sighed with happiness (buying a mattress on-line is a crap-shoot, you have no idea what you are actually going to get until it will be almost impossible to return) .. the sigh was relief, happiness, comfort and a realization that we had made a good choice and spent our money wisely. We were both a little tired from our 250 mile drive and the next thing we knew, both of us had fallen asleep. Luckily, both of us like an extra firm mattress without a puffy, thick top. The coil springs are amazing and the foam layers compliment them perfectly. For the money, this is the most comfortable mattress the two of us have owned in our over 30 years together. The size on the mattress was just as listed, it fit perfectly on our existing box spring and our King size fitted sheet went on just like it should. If you are looking for a sub $500 mattress that is just as comfortable and well made with a warranty that matches the name brand mattresses you might want to give the Bed Story line of mattresses a close look. This is without a doubt the best value for the money we spent that we could find. I love this mattress. It is listed as medium firmness but it is very firm. I have a spinal injury and this mattress helps alleviate some of the morning aches and pains. I replaces my old Sealy Posturepedic with this mattress and do not regret it at all. It came rolled up and compressed in a box and I was able to position it by myself so that when I cut open the bag it unfolded by itself right where I need it.

Only a month in and so far the matter has been good. We've been sleeping well on it, and it definitely provides plenty of support. The only reason I'm taking off a star is it was much more firm than I was anticipating. It was quite the jump from our last form mattress. Hoping it softens up with time, but our sleep quality has been excellent.
