Dec 28th, 2022 First Review I bought this topper to extend the life of a mattress I recently purchased. I bought a firm mattress and thought to just add the cushion as needed to the top as I am a "well-marbled" (well mixed with fat and lean meat) woman. The first two nights, this topper was very comfortable! It didn't sink in immediately so, it gives me that needed moment to get into whatever position will be comfortable for me, then it seems to melt around me and hug me in all the right spots. It is so comfortable that it pains me to say that it doesn't work for my needs. We all know too well that when we have a mattress we/most of us will cover it with a waterproof/ bedbug protector. I believed that is where the problem lay. Because the topper lies on top of that covering and tends to slip from side to side, depending on which side you are getting onto the mattress. Also, it slips down if you turn, roll over or have any movements during the night. I believe that would only get worst if the platform is adjustable. Remember when I said that, "the topper lies on top of that covering and tends to slip from side to side," well I even tried placing the topper inside the bedbug protector with the mattress to perhaps avoid the slippage. Needless to say, that didn't work either. Having a mattress topper that slips is problematic because it leads to injuries. I have pulled and tugged at this topper to readjust it onto the mattress to no avail! Even when I thought to ignore it until the morning I was deceived into thinking that I was still on the mattress as I rolled into a better position only to have the rude awakening of slipping off the mattress and catching myself with a hard stamp of my feet! I have sprained muscles, scraped legs, and bruised my feet in an attempt to have the topper stay centered or myself to be centered on it. I, unfortunately, bruise easily so it didn't help matters that this particular topper is made with a hard brown trim that borders the entire piece. It looks good, and maybe in theory was a good idea. But the truth of the matter is even that border slidden and rotated from where it should have been. I have spent too many hours making and remaking my bed and even trying to reason why I shouldn't return the topper. At the end of a most painful night, I realize that I was sleeping worse now than I had before the topper. So, I have decided to return it before my window of return closes. If you decided to purchase this particular topper, purchase in the knowledge that this product has been tried on a new mattress... In and outside of a mattress protector... And by a heavier person. UPDATE APR 30th 2023 2nd review I am back with an updated review of the BedStory 2" gel-infused mattress topper. My last review was on the same topper but a different size than the one I will be reviewing here. I now have a twin xl sized and I slept on it for 4 days on a pull-out spare bed. I honestly can say that was some of the best sleep I'd ever gotten! Anyone who has ever slept on a pull-out knows that railings pinch skin and bars under the mattress distract from sleep. Well, not with this topper. My sleep was restful and I had more energy when it was time to get up. This was the first test. The second test came with taking the topper into my office to test it on a convertible ottoman, chair, chase, twin sleeper. This sleeper sleeps very uncomfortably as a bed because, I can only assume, it is made to hold over 500 lbs in weight. It does a good job in all its convertible positions but, it's not comfortable in the sleep position at all. It is like sleeping on padded boards. This, for me, would be the real test. After sleeping on it for two days and then stretching it out to a full week, I can say that I have happy tears. I never thought that putting a topper on that sleeper would work! It excelled in all my expectations. It covered the entire bed perfectly, one sheet and pillow later, and there was no telling apart from a regular twin xl bed. My complaint about the full-sized topper did not transfer to this twin xl topper. Where one pulled to one side during the night, this one held its place. It didn't slide at all! Where the border hem moved from the edge by night and left marks on the skin by day on the other topper, this one with the same border without slipping from either side didn't irritate me or my sleep. The topper is dense while remaining pliable to movement. I will be buying another topper for my bedroom. I will opt out of the border hemmed one as I now know that the company has some without the border as well. I highly recommend the Bedstory mattress topper!

I need a small mattress for a COT that I bought because of the uncomfortable tension. You just need some tension cords to hold it in place when rolled up. 1 would work but 2 tension cords compress it more. Fits in small closet with the cot. Also comes in vacuum packed so you can transport it to where you need it first easily.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this “mini mattress” it’s soft but not too soft to the point where I sink. Just the perfect amount! It did give my bed height which I really liked. I would have given it the full 5 stars if it didn’t get me hot. I feel like sometimes the area where im laying gets very hot but other than that its pretty good. I had to but this due to the fact that my bed was a little too firm, i would wake up achey and with this i feel as if it balanced out my bed not to hard not too soft just right! No problems yet!

I like a softer feel, but my spouse prefers a firmer mattress, so I chose this pad because it is firmer than some previous pads I slept on. It was great from the start -- firm but gives to relief pain in hip and arm joints. It has an attractive cover and does not slide around the bed, though it does come with straps to keep it in place.

I bought this for our RV Murphy bed. The mattress it came with is flat and felt like sleeping on a board. This topper is a little long by say 4 inches but it’s so comfortable I don’t care. It even folds up nicely to be put away when not using the bed.

The topper itself would be great comfort, on the floor or on a bed with railings where it could not move. But then you would be in a cradle and not a bed. I have had the 4inch topper which again is really comfortable when it isn't always halfway off my bed because it has slipped. And it slips daily and only gets worse until you adjust it meaning daily remaking your bed, moving all the covers and pulling the not so light topper back into place. Not so bad if you are young and healthy (still annoying) but I'm a senior who lives alone and I cannot constantly adjust the topper. I try to remedy issues myself, so I tried three gripping solutions (none worked and a total of $ lost on the attempt): 1. Simple square rug grippers (sticks on both sides and applied to for corners and four additional spots). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GPJ9PW2 (paid $18.99 for 8) 2. Gorilla Grip Original Mattress Slide Stopper (Gorilla grip products have always worked amazingly for my home but not for THIS topper). (Paid $26.99) 3. 4 inch x 18 feet Heavy Duty (cut to the length needed) Velcro Strips (I really really thought this should have worked because it was very strong adhesive and the Velcro was also strong). Alas it also did not work (the topper just pulled off on the mattress and worse with the Velcro on it was impossible to adjust so i had to remove it wasting all that good Velcro. Grant it i have some left over which worked for my rug and other household items. (Paid $21.59). So thinking about it more, the issue seems to be the topper's removable case. In the pictures attached, it shows, they straps don't keep it from slipping (they either, stretch, slip loose, or break) and the topper is slipping within the case as well. So no matter what you do, it will slip and pull up from anything attempting to prevent sliding because it's not just sliding but rolling. So, considering their newer version has a different case, suggest maybe they know this also. Still product testing before marketing would have revealed this so it is annoying that they did not fix it before selling it. A great customer service solution would be to send a new model case (which does not slip) to all the customers burdened with daily adjusting a mattress topper meant to increase rest and relaxation and not constant stress and injury risk.
