OK, it may be too soon to rate this because time is the best judge. But I think I can honestly say this mattress was way better than expected and I am a very picky sleeper. Now all I can say about this mattress and my own personal experience is: 1) The mattress arrived as the expected delivery day. 2) I carefully removed the cardboard box to find a huge roll inside. Put the roll on the bed platform, took off the outer plastic, then cut open the inner plastic and wow... it grew right before my eyes! It unrolled itself, and started swelling up and within a few minutes, it was full size! I didn't have to wait 48 hours for it to stop "growing". 3) I have been sleeping on it for couple days now and it's been so wonderful. It's not too stiff, not to soft. Before, I would toss and turn all night, wake up every few hours and wiggle around for comfort. Now, I sleep right through, cool and comfortable. 4) As for the uniqueness of this memory foam mattress, the Lavender Essential Oil scent, when I first opened it, the mattress had a little chemical scent to it. After I covered the mattress with a cover and sheets, the smell was almost unnoticeable. I have never really noticed a good Lavender scent, but I can report more sleep in the night (less wakefulness). This could be from the scent or just the comfort of the bed, or perhaps both. If you know that memory foam is right for you, I would highly recommend this mattress. ... show more

I received my mattress today and just unboxed it. Although it says to allow 48-72 hours to come to its full shape, it looks almost ready now! So thick too. As I’ve gotten older, my arthritis causes a lot of stiffness while sleeping, especially in my hips. This looks perfect for me, and I bought it on the advice of my daughter who has one and highly recommended it for not only more comfort but better sleep! Price was great and love the lavender smell as well. This mattress is insane! I haven’t been able to sleep on my side in years because of hip and shoulder pain, but I slept on my side all night! I have L5 degenerative back due from injuries. I resorted to sleeping on a wood platform bed frame which is swinging so it has a gliding effect to put me to sleep. After countless mattresses and beds , i figured out that sleeping on the floor was better, so i came up with the idea swinging bed. Over a time period, i grew tired of it being hard all the time and chose to try this topper because of the reviews, the holes allows air also it has a cover with sturdy wide straps which i thought maybe to loose for my wood platform but its actually snugged. After receieving it, i rolled it out, removed from plastic, 3 hours top it was ready. It fit my bed frame perfect, the memory foam curves and snugs all sides of body and supports the areas it needs to. I went with the 3 inch and i recommend this even when i was wanting 2 inch. I honestly didnt mind the lavender smell because im used to using dr teals lavender bath oils and salts. So it smells like that to me and gives me best sleep. So now i goto bed early, sleep longer and my L5 region pain and pinched nerve has gone away. I love the topper. I have no issues, no compliants. I have purchased two of these, One is on my California king bed for my husband and I, and the other is a twin size for guests to sleep on when we have multiple people staying in our home. The twin sized is a 3 inch and you can’t feel the floor beneath you even if you’re an average size person laying on the foam on the floor. Our California king bed has the 2 inch size I believe, and we are just in love with our bed and think it is the most comfortable thing in the world.     • Unsleepable-- Chemical lavender smell is overpowering

We bought this for our guest room. It is decently comfortable, however the scent is overpowering. I have purchased many memory foam mattresses in the past, so I expected there to be off-gassing at first that would eventually subside. We have had this for two months now and it is still such a strong smell that guests complain. It did off-gas a lot at first, which made the entire room smell like chemical lavender. Now the entire room doesn't smell like the mattress, but when you lay down on it the smell is still strong. It might be ok for someone who sleeps on their back, but for a side or belly sleeper who has their nose a few inches away from the mattress it's just too much. Update: I've been trying to sleep on it sometimes when the baby is being too fussy, and even though it's under a waterproof mattress cover the smell is still so strong. My pillows smell like it when I move them back to my main room. I woke up with a headache today. This is a cheap mattress cover, but it's not such a good deal when you have to replace it because it's so awful. I don't understand how this has as high of a review average as it does. ... show more
