Was used for dorm bed. It was really comfortable but could have very much used straps to hold it to what they call a mattress. It slid so much because it didn’t fit perfectly with it ( even though I ordered the twin xl) and the form mattress is slick. The straps would have helped so much.

I was looking for something with quality. This item was perfect. Well made and not real heavy. I got the queen and it was easy to unpackage and set up. I noticed that some customers complained about the smell but I didn't find this to be a problem. I let it air out in my basement a couple days and it was fine. Very comfortable for me and I will definitely buy another next time. I recommend spending the extra money on this. The last one I had lasted about 3 years. This is well made and will last much longer than that.

I ordered this memory foam mattress topper because it was recommended as number one by consumer reports and it was about $200 cheaper than another that was recommended by another company. It doesn’t look like it’s 3 inches thick, but my bed is already very high, so I’m OK with that. One of the strengths reported by previous reviewers is that it’s good for hot sleepers, but I haven’t found that to be completely true. I do have very intense, hot flashes at night, and I don’t find this mattress to be as cooling as I would like, but I’m not sure that’s really possible. If I move over to a new area, that area is nice and cool and I can get on with my sleep. There was no odor when I unpacked it. I never noticed any when sleeping on it, either Another thing I like about this topper is that it’s not so soft that it’s impossible to move around on. Some are so soft that you just fall into them and can hardly move, but this has a moderate firmness to it that’s super comfortable. I give it four stars only because it does tend to retain a bit more heat underneath my body than I really like. But otherwise it’s perfect.

This can make a crappy mattress feel amazing. And if you aren't in the market to buy a brand new one. BUY THIS. This mattress topper basically feels like a brand new quality mattress. I put this in our guest bedroom. And when my sister comes and stays (who had neck surgery) she thought I bought a new mattress. She said it is super comfortable. My husband sleeps on it at times when one of us is sick. And said its as comfortable as our very expensive mattress in our room. Bought it before guests came in from out of town originally. And they also said it was great to sleep on. Consumer reports recommended this and boy are they right. This thing is a game changer.

I would first like to comment on the product itself. I ordered a 3 inch queen size for my elderly mother who has been having body pain and I was hoping this would help the product is very nice. There is absolutely no odor. It fluffed up beautifully within a few hours so much so that it added quite a bit of height to her bed. Unfortunately, that was the issue for me. I did not take into consideration that my mother is on the shorter side and like I said she’s elderly and has mobility issues and it became very difficult for her to get in and out of bed herself because of the added height, and unfortunately, she had a little slip. I reached out to the company And I have to say their customer service was like no other. They were so considerate and kind they worked with me to quickly resolve my situation they went above and beyond for me . I can tell they actually really care about their business, their customers and their products. I cannot recommend them enough. but again as for the product itself it’s an excellent product. It’s great quality. Do not hesitate to shop with them if I ever need another pillow top, I am definitely coming back to the seller and only the seller.

With only one night in, I can say that it appears that this is a good buy. The topper arrives well packed and is fairly easy to open and roll out (though I had a full size--I would want to have a second person working with me if I had purchased a king.) The product looks like quality and has a good weight to it that that made me feel as if this was of a higher (denser foam) quality than some I have felt in stores. As other reviewers have pointed out, the foam DOES smell. I did let it air out and plump up for a bit before hitting it with some Febreze before putting it on the bed but there was some lingering odor. I would not want to completely rely on the elastic corner straps to keep it in place; I have a basic mattress pad with elastic corners that I used to put it in place. Overall, my first night with the topper on the bed was good. I could feel it conforming to my body as I adjusted during the night and the hip pain that I had been experiencing (side sleeper) was not there this morning. Hope it holds up and lasts for a few years.
