I've had the topper 5 days now and I really like it. I came out of the box like a big sausage and had a cutter included that made it easy to open without risk of cutting the toper itself. You take the outer wrapper off, unroll and unfold it. It's vacuum packed it a big plastic bag. I cut the bottom of the bag off and pulled it out. I put it on my mattress and within a couple hours it had expanded to a little over 3 1/2 inches thick. It had a noticeable smell to it so I turned on a celling fan and left it for about 6 hours before I made my bed. I slept on it the first night and should have paid more attention to the instructions. The say to let it set 2 or 3 days before first use to let the smell dissipate. I pulled the covers and mattress pad off the second day and left the ceiling fan again all day. I slept on it the second night and noticed a little smell but it was not near as strong. After the third night I didn't notice any smell. I ordered the 4 inch topper. My neck is fused in two places, I've had several back surgeries and a hip replaced all of it due to arthritis. I bought an air number bed without any foam or pillow topping years ago so I could make it very firm. It worked fine to begin with but now my hips and shoulders are more sensitive and need a topper (I'm side sleeper.) I've tried 4 inch toppers from Costco but they were too soft and I had to take them back. I used a 1.5 in topper for a few years but lately it has not been enough. I thought I would give this 4 in topper a try because it had two grades of foam in it. This topper has worked very well for me. It's firmer than other toppers I've tried. It provides plenty of give for my shoulders and hips but the stiffer second layer supports my hips enough to keep my spine in line. I've increased the air pressure in the mattress so its very firm now so I get great back support from the mattress and the topper allows me to sleep comfortably on my side. Before this topper I was waking up every hour or so to switch sides because shoulder pain would wake me up. With this topper I can sleep through the night with out tossing and turning and wake up without sore shoulders or neck pain. ... show more

I received my Bed Story 4 Inch King Mattress Topper on Sunday 4/11/2021. The topper was delivered on time and was easy to unpack. As soon as I broke the vacuum on the packaging, the topper began to expand and was almost completely expanded within minutes of being removed from the plastic and laid on the bed. We have slept on it now 4 nights and I can honestly say that I have slept better since we placed it on our bed. It is soft but supportive and is cool even after laying on it all night. I was apprehensive about ordering this topper, as most memory foam is hot. Well, I use less top covers and I'm sleeping better than I have in a very long time. No more pressure point pain in my hips or shoulders. I highly recommend the 3" for side sleepers.

I purchase the 4 inch memory from. The product came nicely packed. After unboxing the mattress top, it was almost instead that mattress got to it size so there was no waiting for a few hours for it to come to size the only warning is the mattress pad smell like nail polish removal the 1st night, When I lay on it, it seem as the memory form mattress top is forming around my body and feels like I was laying on a cloud. I have hard time with others mattress pad due to my back pian that caused me to toss and turned through out the night. With this mattress pad I didn't have any pain to my hip and back as I lay on it to sleep I am happy to have made the purchase it is well made and low in cost. This topper is perfect! Just like most memory foam toppers I’ve used. I got the 2inch in KING size for my bed and it overhangs by an inch, but better slightly bigger than smaller and I’m sure it will be fine once I slip a cover and sheet over it anyways. Our bed was already the perfect softness and firmness to begin with as we just bought our mattress a year ago, but I’m currently pregnant and wanted more softness as I use to have a similar foam mattress topper years ago, but it fell apart after 3 years. I can’t wait to sleep on this. I believe the holes really help keep the foam from overheating and I love the gel foam look. Everything was packaged well and in great condition. Packaging and instructions were professional and easy to follow. I am 6.0 185 lbs and ordered the 3 inch. I fit this on my Bedstory 12 inch matress and it has made all the difference, along with their pillows. Topper is a medium firm and has a welcoming sinking feeling when I lay down, but not too mushy. What I liked best was how cool my body was while asleep. The topper gel disapates my body heat and the result was a deep sleep and waking up refreshed. No body aches and the gel conformed to my side-sleeping style. It took about 12 hours to reach 3 inches and the factory scent is almost gone after airing it out. We got the BedStory 4 inch memory foam mattress topper for our futon because some visitors complained it wasn’t comfortable. The BedStory shipped and arrived fast, was easy to open and let expand. It was a bit thicker than expected. We both slept on it to see how it felt. We found it to be wonderfully comfortable and supportive. However, we wanted to know what others thought. A week and a half later, we had company from Maryland come for three days. Afterwards, they told us they have slept on futons before and expected it to be an uncomfortable and somewhat painful experience, but they were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the futon was allowing them to sleep through the night and not have any pain when they woke up.
