What you need to understand first is that this mattress was replacing a circa 1988 Sealy Posturpedic mattress bought before you could purchase mattresses in a box. For its time, it was a decent mattress - but I was young and poor, in my twenties and just starting out. Except for a short period of time (translation - between boyfriends) this mattress was always relegated to the guest bedroom. Over time, I added a featherbed to it because the original mattress was only about 8" deep. Then I added ANOTHER feather bed to the previous bed - mostly because I loved the floof effect. Problem was that once floofed, nobody was allowed to sit on it, sleep on it, breathe on it...it had to sit there in all its glory and floofiness. If you've ever had to fluff a feather bed...you know why. I finally got tired of all the work and wanted to find a suitable replacement. Somehow the mattress world had moved on without me...and after a lot of thought - too much thought...I picked this mattress for it's reviews and thickness. It did not disappoint although I must admit, my husband and I did have to work out the logistics of releasing the kraken from its wrappings and dodging it as it sprung to life. It's very comfortable, the firmness is perfect...not too soft, not too hard...Goldilocks would approve. The cost was reasonable, delivery was quick and I splurged for the extra pick up of the antique mattress. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

I was in desperate need of a new mattress. I wasn't sure how this one would work out since I've never bought a mattress in a box before. Well, let me tell you, this is probably one of if not the best mattress I've ever owned! I followed the directions and let it rise for 3 days. I love that it's14 inches thick which is quite a bit thicker than my previous mattress which was 10 inches. I have to be honest. The first night I didn't sleep great because I was so used to my soft, sagging mattress and now being on one that's firm, which is what I prefer, took some getting used to. But after a day or two, I've slept like a rock. Let me also say that there were no weird smells from the mattress during those three days when it was rising. Because you get a full 365 days to return it, plus a 10 year warranty, I'll post another update if anything changes. If you're in the market for a new mattress, most definitely consider this one. Oh, and one other thing the price was excellent! Although it was listed at $399 they had a promo and I got it for $299 - a steal.

I’ve had this mattress for about 5 months. It’s medium soft with good support and has held up well. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Edge support is good. I detected no odor and it filled out fully within about 24-36 hours but I gave it 48 hours to be safe. I’m a side sleeper and too firm of a mattress puts pressure on my shoulders. This one doesn’t do that. I’m happy with this purchase.

After months of struggling on an extra-firm foam mattress that felt more like a slab of concrete than a place to rest, sleeping on this mattress has been a genuine revelation. If you’re a fan of firm mattresses, this one is worth it. It’s very firm but comfortable. I wake up less sore. I actually find myself getting mad because I have to get out of bed in the mornings. This bed is a trapper lol. Very much worth the price
