I ordered these pillows specifically because I needed firmer pillows. Although they are clearly well made and comfortable to use, they are not at all what I would consider firm. I'll keep them since they are really nice and I went through the trouble of getting them all fluffed up and expanded (they arrive completely compressed), I will likely still need to find a firmer pillow for my needs. ... show more

These are properly made. No odor and after allowing them to breath and expand they are a nice shape. My issue is the firmness. Again I wish they would use a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being very soft and 5 being firm. It is hard for buyers to understand because each person views the feel differently. By far the best pillows I've ever bought! If you fluff them everynight, they immediately retain their shape. Who knew our Mom's and Grandma's were onto something with the whole "fluff your pillows" bit? lol With my other pillows (and I've been trying LOTS of different pillows), I'd wake up off and on all night, with my neck or back hurting, and heat flashes kicking my rump. But, with these, I literally sleep through the night and wake up - mostly no worse for the wear. I am nearing 50, so aches and pains are to be expected, but I'm not so sore I can barely move - as has happened with some pillows that don't support my neck and back properly. ... show more

I thought the pillows would be a lot firmer. They are not totally bad, but not exactly as I wanted them. Come in a vacuum bag totally deflated and have to wait about 24 hours before you can use.
