If you like really FIRM mattresses - this is your choice! I tried so many of them in mattress stores, even some super "firm" memory foam ones - they were all too soft for us. My husband and I are from Europe, originally from different regions of it, but we both find the firmest mattresses the most comfortable and ones that give the best support for your back. I heard from salesmen that many people from Europe prefer firm' over 'soft'. I guess we are those people! :) I know for a fact it IS a big challenge to find this sort of mattress in US because most of people prefer soft ones. So they often don't even display them in shops. Believe me it is very unlikely that you will find more "firm" option than this . Not mentioning a good price. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT. . Update. I take one star off. After about half a year the mattress got slightly deformed. Whatever is inside of the mattress, it's sagging up. We have an average weight, I'm about 135 lb, husband is about 220 lb. Too bad, because for the first few months it was absolutely perfect š. But it didn't last as long as our previous mattress. Nowhere near as long.

This is just a cheaply made mattress. It'll last for a short while and it then rots away in the landfill and you're back in the market. Many years ago, I switched from expensive traditional bedding (boxspring + mattress) to my own design. Let's face it - modern mattresses are a scam. Spring steel and has been replaced by regular steel so the springs wear out faster. All of this 'pillow top' nonsense is just bunch of cheap eggcrate foam and a sliver of gel if you're lucky - it all crushes pretty quickly and the warranties are utterly worthless. I got the message when I cut open my $3,000 mattress that failed in a couple of years and saw the truth. I use an extra firm mattress as a base and levels of latex above. I use a firm 4" layer of latex, a 3" layer tuned to the preferences of the sleeper (a King using , and a 1" soft layer on top. I put the latex layers in a bamboo zippered cover. The result is a very comfortable bed at an affordable price. Using a cheap extra firm mattress as a base provides some overall deflection, and since we're not sleeping directly on the mattress it last far longer that it otherwise would. The last mattress lasted about 10 years. So... I ordered a new one from Amazon - King, Extra Firm. Truck shows up - I examine box to confirm it says "King, Extra Firm", it does, and I leave the crew to it. They do a nice job and I walk in and see.... a "Queen" mattress. Yet, the box was mislabeled. If you order one of these make sure you measure the box before you accept delivery because somewhere along the line these are getting improperly labeled.

Very happy after purchasing this Beautyrest Extra Firm mattress as I was looking for more back support. I was always a Plush user, so was initially hesitant purchasing Extra Firm, but I have to say how pleasantly surprised how soft it is, knowing Iām getting the support I need. Even better, no need for a memory foam topper! I strongly recommend this brand and mattress if you are in the market for a firm mattress that will last a long time.

Mattress hard as rock. Like sleeping on a carpet floor is exactly what it feels like. I never thought mattress can be this hard. I woke up with terrible neck, shoulder pain that I need to visit theray for the treatment. This is just the beginning. Mattress had deforms. Some areas are thicker and bumpy. Has stains here and there. I asked for return for a full refund the next day. 100 days trial is a lie. They said i have to pay for $300 return shipping label. They want me to pack the mattress how it came and send back at my own cost. What a terrible irresponsible company that still wont provide return shipping even after i sent them the picture of the defective areas and stains. If you want still try the most uncomfortable mattress and spend $300 for return shipping and pack back the giant heavy mattress back to damaged box when you dont even have proper tools to pack them, go ahead to buy. Amazon can step in and help with refund but it is very stressful. Amaon is working on this case and didnt get the refund yet but waiting for it right now. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY 100 days trial scam.

Reviews helped us make the decision to buy this mattress. Good move! My husband loves it and his back pain improved tremendously in about 3 days! The last mattress this one replaced was not a year old. $500 down the drain! We went to the local stores and sat on the edge, laid down, bounced...did everything we could to purchase him a good mattress. Within a few months he could not sit on the side to put his shoes on because it caved in and his back began killing him. Enough was enough! Luckily we purchased twin XL beds and put them on a king frame. At least we only had to replace his mattress! Twin XLs are also more convenient to move upstairs. Anyway, we went to Amazon. Read the reviews. Ordered this mattress. My husband was dreading having to wait a couple of weeks for it. Luckily it arrived in about two days! The mattress has a ton of support yet has a lot of softness about it. He can actually sit of the side of the bed without being dumped on the floor! ( A side note...my husband is overweight.) So glad we were able to purchase a comfortable mattress with lots of support!
