  • Nice Hikers and decent price.
These hikers are a good choice if you are looking for a good quality shoe for wider feet. They provide a decent amount of support and are good for walking across water laying on the ground. One thing to watch out for is that they do fit large. I usually wear a 8 1/2 or a size 9 shoe depending on the design of the shoe, so I had gotten an 8 1/2 of these. The width is just about perfect but the length is a little big, so that is one thing to consider. Overall, these are a good quality hiker and I would recommend them if you are looking for ones that comfortably fit wider feet. ... show more

  • Do NOT go down in size!
Size: 7 Color: Charcoal
UPDATE: I have a couple of pairs of Bearpaw pile-lined boots, and they’re comfortable and they’re good quality. So, I trust the Bearpaw brand. I returned the size 7, and I ordered a size 8. In the 8, the tip of my big toe is where it should be, but it has a high toe box, so it felt so large, much larger than the 7. I have to really tighten them. They don’t have a 7.5 in the color I like. I’ve walked less than 2 miles in them in two days. Tightened up, they fit alright; but, the footbed feels cupped (not fitting to my foot) and doesn’t have the cushion I was hoping to have in a shoe that I bought for walking/hiking about 4 miles a day for an upcoming trip. It’s a cute design, but not totally comfortable. Original review: I consistently wear a 7.5 in everyday shoes. (I go a 1/2 size up for running and hiking shoes.) Following the product description and some reviews that said to go down a size, I ordered a size 7. Just got them. They’re too small! :( The felt like they’ll be Uber comfortable, at the right size, so I ordered a size 8. I’ll update my review when I get the replacement order. ... show more

  • Nice shoe
Loved this shoe but ran way to big. I wear a 10 and this was way to loose and long. Good quality shoe! Well made.

  • Good for the money
Size runs big ie I'm an 8 in Nike and Skechers but in Bearpaw a 7 or 7.5 would be the right size. Even with 2 pairs (one reg cotton+one thick knitted) of socks and the plantar insole that I use they are big. If they had been high on the ankle, more boot-like, probably the heel wouldn't slip out and size difference would be less noticeable but it's not the case as the ankle opening of the shoe is quite open. They do not have arch support therefore foot slides to the point of the shoe. After one day usage these started to be more comfortable. Therefore, I suggest you double check your size range for rhis brand before purchase. Otherwise, the quality seems good and overall they are fine for the money. Having said this, I recommend them if a cushioned foot support is not a must on your choice. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Good price, very comfortable and sturdy, work well for my narrow feet. Nice and snug around the ankles with plenty of room in toe area.

  • Comfortable shoes
Size: 10 Color: Taupe
Ordered Size 10, standard width. The only issue I had was having to order full sizes only. A 9 felt a bit uncomfortable. A half size would’ve been a better fit. I have to wear thick socks bc it feels too wide. To fix some of that issue I added the Dr Scholls gel inserts ($5.75 at Walmart). This helped a lot. ... show more

  • Field biologist approved!
Size: 9 Color: Taupe
Field biologist here. I bought these with low expectations; I just wanted a low-cut field shoe. They have far exceeded my expectations and have become my primary field footwear (more than my boots!). The sole is quite grippy, giving secure footing on scree and in mud. The insole is comfortable, far more so than my Lowa Renegade boots. As some other reviewers have indicated, they run a touch large but not enough for me to go down a half size. If they feel uncomfortably roomy on you, Google "runner's lacing" to learn about alternative ways of lacing your shoes to give a more snug fit. ... show more

  • I love the way these fit BUT...
Size: 9 Color: Natural
First, I would like to say these fit great - probably the most comfortable shoes of this type I have ever had - I have wide feet and often find that toe boxes are too shallow. Shoes of this type often feel clunky and heavy, but these fit great from the very first time I wore them. I have worn them on ice and found them to have fairly good traction and they are water resistant. BUT I am disappointed in how quickly the heels are showing significant wear. I have worn them probably 5 days a week since purchasing on 1/9/23, walking several miles most days. The "rubber" the heels are made of does feel softer than most, but I did not expect them to wear so quickly. I have not had this problem with other shoes, although I do wear out the heels eventually on most shoes. Please note that in the picture you can see where the darker outer layer has worn quickly to the lighter colored inner layer which is quite thin. If it weren't for this problem, these shoes would get 5 stars for me. As it is, I will probably need to replace them within a few months Edited to add: BEARPAW contacted me and offered to replace these for me or refund my money. I thought about it, but decided to keep them and use them as long as I can, simply because they are SO COMFORTABLE!! I really appreciate their offer and hope they will revise their heel/sole material, because I would love another pair! ... show more
