I purchased a king sized Bear Hug blanket in March 2024. It was easy to set-up with brief but clear instructions on how to place it on the bed and connect it. It fit the bed well and functioned perfectly until December 2024 when one controller gave an error message “E4” and would not heat up. After trying all the suggested trouble shooting steps with no luck I contracted customer service. It was an extremely positive experience. From the very beginning the folks at Bear Hug were prompt, polite and helpful. We tried a few simple diagnostic steps and when nothing worked they immediately replaced the faulty blanket. I could not have asked for a better response to my problem from Bear Hug. I highly recommend this product and company for supurb customer service. Any product can malfunction for a variety of reasons, the critical test is how the manufacturer responds to the problem. Bear Hug gets my vote for a very nice product and great service if something goes wrong.

When I first got this blanket I was very happy with the heat levels and coverage. I use it to help with fibromyalgia pain management- the heat makes it possible to sleep. I have had it 4 months and only one section heats up. I’m so disappointed because I loved it when I got it.

I like the blanket, its soft and cozy.BUT not too sure about the heat distribution. Seems like it should get warmer than it does. The other major problem is dogs. I have always been able to put a sheet or light blanket over the electric blanket so the dogs don't get it dirty or hairy. Can't put anything over this blanket if you have active dogs [two Rotties] As soon as they jump on the bed, the cover sheet slides off. Leaving the blanket exposed. Never had this problem with other electric blankets. Thats the reason for four stars. I have tried everything to put over the blanket, and they all slide off soon as the dogs jump up on it
