  • The slim safety LED light combines the convenience of a Ceiling light with the capability of a spotlight.
  • The LED light's slim design allows it to be used in cramped areas, like over doors and corners, to provide 100 lumens of automatic safety lighting.
  • The wireless LED light rotates easily up to 60 degrees from the base for precise lighting where you need it.
  • Motion sensor activation, auto-shut-off and a light sensor help prolong the battery life. Expect about one year of light on each set of batteries with average use of 8-10 activations a day.

  • Could not use
Unfortunately I had to return the light although it seemed to be well-made and worked correctly, The problem was that we needed it for an outdoor shower and the motion sensor was picking up the trees moving in a breeze. Plus the light is probably way to bright for such a small space. It would probably work great in a stairwell or garage. ... show more

  • Solid motion spot light. Can be tape mounted. Wished there was more angle adjustment.
I put this light above an entrance since the angle my porch light is at doesn't actually light up the door. Works well for what I need. The stuff that works for me: While no tape is provided, you can still use double sided tape to mount it. With the 4x required C-cell batteries, the total weight is just under 1lb (~15.5oz). The mounting bracket is 4inchs wide. So just the white foam indoor double sided tape is strong enough to hold it up. I choose to use indoor tape to minimize damage to the paint in case I ever needed to remove it. The light is bright enough for me. It's not a super bright safety spotlight that one would use for a garage driveway but it's about perfect for just lighting up the doorway. I did take the light apart to see the weather proofing. There is a silicone seal between the battery compartment and the main circuit board. However, the batter compartments themselves are not sealed. I would expect the battery compartments to not be waterproof but overall, it should be reliable if not directly exposed to rain. As a door light that's already sheltered by the porch, this is fine for me. Not so great if you are putting it completely out in the open. The things I wish were different: When mounted on a vertical wall with the angle adjustment allows you to face it directly forward or downwards up to about a 45deg angle. However, the motion detection cone is pretty large so mounting it this way lets it cover quite a bit of distance. This may be good for people that want a long distance spot light (but this light really isn't bright enough for that). I instead mounted it under the door frame so that it faced either downwards or 45deg forwards. To limit the motion detection, I had to face it almost completely downwards. I would have preferred the mount to allow for 0+/-45deg instead of only 0-45deg. I had to make some minor modifications to the mount to have it fit under my door frame and rotate the opposite direction instead of pointing inside the house. Final verdict: Overall, it works for what I need it to be but it's not perfect. Pros: - fairly bright single LED (but not a super bright spot light) - can be mounted with removable double sided tape. - motion detection is consistent and reliable Cons: - motion detection can be too sensitive and may not match the light coverage that you want - angle adjustments is more limited than it needs to be - really only weather resistant and not fully water proof ... show more

  • It works as advertised
This product works well. I use it in a closet, and it comes on when the closet door is opened. Although it works better when the room is darker, like at night. In the daytime when the room is well lit by sunshine, it doesn't usually come on, but I don't really need it as much. It goes off quickly when the door is closed. ... show more

  • Motion detection died after one month
I bought two units -- one for an exterior door to the basement, and one for an internal door at the end of a dark corridor. The exterior unit is working fine after 3 months. The internal unit stopped sensing motion after one month. Instead, it is now always on, which means it chews through 4 batteries every 1-2 weeks. I love the design of the unit because it fits in the narrow 2-inch gap above the door frame, but the motion sensor should not have died after a month. I bought a battery charger and 8 rechargeable C-cell batteries that I can rotate into and out of the light fixture, but that meant $48 to overcome a defect in a $20 product. It also means the light is always on, which is ecologically and economically wasteful (recharging batteries runs up my electric bill -- albeit modestly). Were I confident the motion detection defect was anomalous, I would simply have bought another unit, but I am not that confident, so my $20 overhead light really cost $68+. With that budget, I could have purchased something nicer and more reliable. ... show more

  • Great for staircase
I jave a stairway that goes down to a finished basement that has no light source. This solved that issue and mounts above the doorway. The motion sensor works great and batteries seem to be holding up with over 1 month of use.

  • The motion detection is on point
The motion detection notices me when I want it immediately. I had two ideas of what i had planned for this. One idea failed, one idea is a success. So only sticking with the one that I bought. With that said, I want to complain about two things. It does not illuminate light through a window at all, nor will the detection see you through a window. The packaging for this was very bare bones. For what I use it for now is great instead of having to turn on every light in the basement (~8 lights 1 switch), I just wave my arm up and I have just this one light to grab stuff near the basement door and thats what I wanted - happy over all. ... show more

  • 100 Lumens is enough
I bought 2 of these Slim Mr. Beams, and love them. One is just sitting on a shelf, out doors, but under cover, in our woodshed. (See Pic). 100 Lumens is plenty. I'd be blinded by more ( more is overkill IMO). I'll report back in the spring of 2021 about battery type and life, as I'm in VT and it gets cold.. The other is in the stairwell going into our basement indoors, and again 100 lumens is plenty. I highly recommend these. Easy to put the batteries in.. not problems. and the design is sleek. ... show more
