My wired flood lights above my garage broke. I didn't want to hire an electrician to replace them since this could be pricey. So I decided to look into some battery options and found this product you're currently considering. I'm happy with my purchase so far. It was easy to set up and mount these motion detector flood lights myself. They're bright enough to see the area they're pointing to. But not enough to blind you. So that can be a good or bad thing depending on how bright you want them. If you're looking to add flood lights anywhere without hiring an electrician this is your answer. PROS - Easy to set up. - The lights can be rotated 360 and up down. Be sure to loosen the screw at the bottom to rotate the light in the direction you want. - Uses D batteries so no need for hard wiring. - Bright but not blinding. - Auto shut off is pretty quick (20 seconds or so) - Seems waterproof - Affordable - Motion detector range is pretty wide. CONS - Doesn't come with batteries. - I wish this had rechargeable batteries or the ability to use them. - No solar power option - It's not super bright but bright enough. All in all I would highly recommend these floodlights. I plan to purchase more for other areas of my house.

THERE IS NOTHING I DISLIKED ABOUT THIS BEAM MOTION LIGHT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. IT TURNS ON REALLY FAST WHEN MOTION IS DETECTED. I HAVE ONE “ZIP TIED” ON MY SOLAR LIGHT POLE BY MY FRONT PORCH. AS SOON AS I PUT ONE FOOT ON MY STEP BAM!! IT’S ON. I ALSO HAVE ONE ATTACHED ON MY OVER THE DOOR HANGER ON MY FRONT DOOR. MY CAT EVEN SETS IT OFF WHEN HE WANTS TO COME INSIDE. USEFUL FOR INDOORS INCASE OF POWER OUTAGE, IN CLOSETS, EVEN FOR A PORTABLE FLASH LIGHT. SO MANY USES FOR THIS BEAM LIGHT. I AM THRILLED I ORDERED THIS PRODUCT. Crazy how nice it feels to finally nail a purchase decision, right? Bought this unit 4 years ago (+ 1 month), mounted it (easily) alongside the porch door (i.e. main entrance), and it’s been doing it’s thing ever since. Tough location with lots of water from downspouts, wind, ice dripping which is what killed the previous item, but no issues with this one. The light quality, sensor function, easy aiming is all as advertised and reviewed above, just fine. This past summer it started to behave erratically, would come back on and off several times after it had shut off. Also was growing slowly dimmer. Still functional though, in terms of turning on when motion activated so I left it to slowly die on its own, which finally happened last week (after 4 years of continuous use!?). Opened up the face (first time I’d ever touched it since mounting), no evidence of ANY moisture penetration whatsoever, zero corrosion on the (AMAZON) D cells. Replaced with new batts, and it fired right up, and is working like new again. Can you say PERFECT?? In hindsight, the erratic ‘blinking’ and ‘gradual dimming’ were just the death throes of the batteries. Wish I had a spot for another one or two of these; can’t recommend them enough.

Goes up in a few minutes--easy installation of batteries and just perfect for my needs! The color matches well with my surroundings and appears to be well built. The light is really bright but not overly so. A good light at this price....go for it!

Easy to install anywhere; I installed on trees & patio posts. Very bright, picks up motion quite well. My only complaint is they do not stay on for very long and there is no way to adjust the duration of time on.

I really like these lights. They are very bright and light up a good area. My only problem is the 1 light I think might be defective because the light blinks off and on and sometimes stays on. I won't be returning it because I don't have the box anymore. Maybe a slight refund? I am ordering another 2 pack. Other then that they are nice looking and light up a good area at night when taking my dogs outside. Thank you

I put one downstairs inside facing the stairs , when I hear a noise I can stand at the top of the stairs and it goes on. Also alerts me when one of my cats is coming upstairs. It is nice and bright.

This is a great product! I have had them installed for three years. I have them on the two sliders to my patio. The sensor picks up motion as soon as someone or anything comes within range. The light is bright and stays on for a short time, enough to startle someone and deter them if they have wrong-doing on their mind (though, thankfully, that's never been the case). They were very easy to install. I am writing this review over three years from when I bought the lights because I wanted to see how long the battery would last. I have only put one set of batteries (3 D-Cell) into them. For the first time, my living room side light is blinking at me to warn me that the battery needs replacement. Now one request to Amazon. Would it be so hard to put the battery size SOMEWHERE in the description? While it might be obvious to someone more technically savvy that D-Cell is the right size, it's not to me and likely lots of other people. In addition, it would be helpful to ALSO include the NUMBER of BATTERIES each light needs. The answer is THREE D-CELL BATTERIES. I had to go to a video to get that answer. It would be so much more helpful to include it in the description. Please.
