The laser cutter "seems" great, but so far I haven't really been able to use it since both times it was shipped with a broken water circulator. Which, if you don't know, renders the system useless since it has to be cooled. The picture here is what it looked like out of the box where that end cap is supposed to be there to keep the water in. Otherwise, it shoots water all over the inside, which is what it does now. Since there is no glass in the machine anywhere, it seems to me that the tube was shipped this way, which kind of sucks. Especially since the first one they sent also had a broken tube. Those tubes aren't cheap so not very happy here. ... show more

    • Great little laser engraver for Hobbyist
We had picked this up as a hobby engraver, which those hobbies ended up being sold, which ended up for us needing a much bigger laser. So, from $2,000 starting to now waiting for our $40,000 engraver to come in, all within just over a month. If you plan on just using as a personal hobby laser, this is amazing, but don't let it carry you off into doing bigger work, as it'll get much more expensive for you down the road, lol. We still use this for my wifes projects she enjoys, and the rotary attachment for doing cups/tumblers, and it hasn't failed us yet. ... show more

I haven't left very many reviews, I'm kind of lazy about it. But this laser cutter has really changed the way I work and what I can make. I like to create a lot of things from RC planes to robots and this is a game changer. I have two 3D printers, FDM and resin, a home built CNC, and now this and it's the best tool in my shop. The software is easy and intuitive and the footprint is not much bigger than a printer. Its quiet and clean and works perfectly out of the box with about 10 minutes of setup. I've already sent about 15 ornaments to family for the holidays, made a pile of plane parts, and a ton of stuff from Thingiverse. If you're looking for a powerful home scale laser cutter that performs like a professional machine you can't beat this and the cost is more than competitive. Mine lives in the workshop but its attractive and small enough that it could live in the house. ... show more

    • I should have bought this months ago
Wow. I’m so glad I bought this laser. I’ve been working with laser cutters for maybe 10 years at the local makerspace. They were 60, 80 and 100 watt Chinese lasers. Getting them to do what I wanted was always tricky. Chinese lasers aren’t known for ease of use. I wanted to buy a laser for my home shop and thought about spending $500 on a Chinese laser but after doing all the research and math, it just seemed like spending the extra money on a Beamo would save a whole lot of time and headache. Wow, it sure did. It’s so easy to use. The camera is a feature that I didn’t even realize would be so helpful. I was cutting really nice parts out within minutes of opening the box. Can’t do that with a Chinese laser. Amazing. I should have bought this months ago. It’s worth the money. The ventilation could be a little more effective. Acrylic gets smelly. But all in all, just awesome. Slices through 6mm wood like butter. ... show more

    • Shipping damage over and over
I really want to love this thing, but I've had to send two (and will send a third) back due to damage during shipping. The first one had a broken laser aperture, the second machine would stall out on a "connecting to machine" screen when you turned it on, and the third one I currently have has some loose screws rattling around inside I cant find that came off of the bottom during transport. I bought the whole setup so I have to stick with beamo- but you'd hope that UPS and amazon wouldn't deliver a 2k machine in a broken box with holes in it where the bottom wasn't even attached. I'll review it when I get one that arrives pristine like it's supposed to- not with loose screws I don't know what they hold in place rolling around or with a host of problems out of the box. ... show more

    • Excellent Beginner Laser Cutter/Engraver
I am brand new to laser cutting. Some laser cutters are way out of my price range, but I was able to fit the Beamo into my budget. I'm so glad I did! This machine is amazing! I have cut and etched wood. I have etched acrylic. The machine handled it with no problem. The software connects to the Beamo. There is a camera that lets you see the item on the laser bed so you can place your text or image exactly where you want it. The software isn't made for designing images, but you can use images designed in Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Silhouette Studio, or Inkscape, and probably others. If you're looking for a good entry into the world of laser cutting and engraving, this is the tool for you!! I LOVE IT!! ... show more

    • Use a different reseller
Let me start of by saying the machine itself is fantastic. It’s a little smaller, but I didn’t want a k40 and this has done the job. However, in the three months of owning this machine I’ve had 2 less than ideal problems. First, during optical alignment the screw broke off. I messaged the seller and was given a name and number to contact. I called, left a message. To this day (2 months later) that message has yet to be returned. Two days ago, my stepper motor blew. I followed the same process. This time I’ve called three times and reached out to Flux, who passed along my support ticket this seller. Radio silence. In both instances, a different reseller, Ultimate 3D, fixed both of these issues for me. They sent me a new mirror housing and offered to walk me through replacing it. It was an easy fix. Now they’re willing to help me with my stepper motor. You’d think the company my warranty is actually with would be that helpful. If I could do it again, I’d purchase from Ultimate 3D before this reseller just for their customer service alone. ... show more

    • Engraving in less than an hour
An excellent choice! This machine is perfect for all the crafts and projects I want to do. Easy to set up, it was engraving on day one. I've already engraved, cut, and worked on wood, leather, acrylic, and glass. My laptop was all I needed for the software (too easy to use) and it connected effortlessly in minutes. I can't say enough! I even bought the roller add-on and added logos to bottles and glassware. This is gonna be fun for a long time! ... show more
