I have never been able to curl my hair. After seeing this in videos on line a few times I thought I would bite the bullet and give this a go; I am so glad I did!!!! This heated quickly and was easy to use!! I was able to curl my long hair within 30 minutes the first time I used it and even quicker the next time, I think it was around 20 minutes. Someone with shorter hair could probably be done with their hair in 10 minutes I’m guessing. The curls are perfect! My hair doesn’t hold curl well, but I find after using the beachwaver and some hair spray that I have curl for at least 3-4 hours before it becomes more wave like and the waves are usually there until I brush my hair or wash it. This is huge for me because my hair dresser curls my hair with a regular curling iron, uses mousse and hairspray and the curl is falling out before I get to my car! This was worth every penny I spent and I will buy another when I need one again!!

I really wanted to like this. I've tried using my flat iron to curl my hair but it would pull my hair, not create even curls, and curls wouldn't last. Beach wave crimpers are easy to use but the hair still looks crimped IMO. So this iron was my 3rd try. If you have long or thick hair the small clamp at the end doesn't hold in your hair. If you don't go all the way to the end as directed, you end up creasing your hair. First day trying this my curls fell flat within 2 hours. I figured it was because my hair was washed that day and I didn't spray anything on my hair before curling. On the 2nd day I tried again with some light hold hairspray, same deal. Additionally, strands of hair got caught in the curling iron and my ends look horrible. The small clamp is really a hinder. Maybe it's the hairspray, maybe it's my layers, and this would work better on non-layered hair. Sadly, it's going back.
