I bought this to replace a gold-rated unit that was struggling with power spikes, and the be quiet! Dark Power 13 hasn't broken a sweat. The 80 Plus Titanium efficiency is top-tier, and you can tell be quiet! didn't cut any corners on the internal components. It’s a heavy, well-built piece of kit. The fan doesn't even spin up most of the time when I’m just browsing or working, which keeps the whole room quieter. Been building computers for about 15 years now. First PSU to ever blow on me. I'm fortunate I caught it before I left my home, as it started to smell like an electrical fire in my house. I've been trying to RMA a replacement. I've left probably five voicemails and sent multiple emails. When they finally got back to me, I sent pictures and receipts immediately and I still haven't gotten an answer about getting a replacement. I've also had power state failures ever since I built my computer a year ago, and after doing some research, this line is tied to that exact issue. At this point, seeing the issues with this product line, I think it's safer to go with something like Corsair, Super Flower or Seasonic. It's not just that the PSU failed, but that their customer service is now non existent. They were great a year ago, but something has changed. Look somewhere else. I just got this system put together. My only real issue is that it doesn't have a cable for just a single VGA. I only need one, as my GPU does not used that same connector, I only need one for the motherboard.

Build from two years ago, my prior psu died... Happy with the purchase, the computer works well with this new unit. I wish bequiet made beyond clear instructions on how to connect cables to your components. At least in the two areas where it might get complicated, as the gpu and the cpu, especially the regular gpu connection. I really don't appreciate the time I wasted looking in forums and reddit. When you have proprietary connections is the least you could do. This cable mess is what actually keeps many people away from their psu's. The power supply comes with two regular gpu slots. The gpu cables they give you are double split at the gpu end, and it turns out the best way to connect your gpu is to use the two gpu cables, and only one half end of each cable. So you'll have to tuck away two half unused gpu cables, which is annoying. You can see it on the picture. Left a couple of pictures for you to see how it looks in the Pure Base 500. I can't imagine you'll ever get your $120 back on energy savings vs what another lower priced gold psu would bring, but I guess quality and power delivery are important. ... show more

So I purchased this PSU 3-2024 and it has been rock solid for that whole time. Can not say enough about how well built this PSU is. I would recommend this to anyone needing a 1000 watt PSU. I have used it with 2 builds and have not had any issues at all with either system. 1st System AMD Ryzen 5800X 3D with MSI RTX 4070 Ti, 2nd System AMD Ryzen 9800X 3D with a Gigabyte RTX 5080.
