This hair straightener works as intended. The temperature control is easy to change and the display reading is optimal. It only takes about 30 seconds to heat to your desired temperature. I normally have straight fine hair but decided to get a perm about 9 months ago, yikes! (now I know why perms went away in the 1990's). I bought this the re-straighten my previously straight hair. I works fine, but I do not want the temp too high that it will "burn" my hair, so far the perm may be winning the straightening wars. The only difficulty is unlocking the paddles.
