Besides looking very attractive, it is easy to make an outstanding cup of coffee (or two or three if you like small cups). For me it is easy to rinse out and clean the mesh filters. If there are any grounds in between the mesh or disks, loosen the assembly a bit and the grounds can be flushed out. The glass material is the same as used in beakers, test tubes, et al—it withstands high heat but is fragile. So, you don’t want to use any metal implements inside. Understand that you’re not ‘pressing’ out the coffee. The plunger is only used to ‘push’ the grounds to the bottom.. I don’t understand the issue of dripping or water in between the metal and the glass. I would not put the glass in a dishwasher—there’s no need. Nor would I submerge it into water.

Updated review: the seller reached out to me within hours of my original review and offered a replacement or refund. I chose a replacement because it really is a very cute press and ,besides the fragile glass, well-made. The replacement was at my house the next day. I think that the customer service alone is worthy of an updated review. Hopefully this one holds up better, but if not I will try a stainless version from the same company. I stupidly didn’t take this out of the package until a couple months after receiving it. At first glance it was cute and seemed like decent quality. However, the glass is poor quality and splintered the first time I washed it.

I've been using a plastic French press but wanted to get away from plastics as I'm discovering it gets into everything, especially liquids and especially when heat is involved. This is nearly all metal and glass, and certainly any parts in contact with your hot coffee. French press method makes great coffee and I find it's less tedious to use and clean than a regular coffee maker anyway. This one works exactly as expected. No real issues to speak of. My only extremely mild issue is a little water gets under the metal on the outside of the glass container and can drip a little on your countertop when pouring but literally like a couple drops. I don't really think there's a way around this and am hard pressed to even think of what they could do to prevent it that wouldn't just cause other complications so I still think this is a 5 star product, especially for the reasonable price.

the first one was not stable (the plastic base wasn’t level), but amazon easily & quickly replaced it without hassle. the 2nd one is perfect condition. no issues, works great. be careful, the glass is scary to remove & put back into the frame bc it’s a snug fit (much preferable over loose fit tho!), but it hasn’t broken or cracked on me. great product for the price!

I stopped perking coffee last year, and just do cold brew. This is quick, simple, and delicious. I would've liked to have the glass come out like it shows in the photos, but it's not a game changer. It's attractive enough to leave it on the counter, and I just transfer what I don't drink into a large mason jar and put it in the fridge to use for a few days.

Edited to add: After I posted this review below their customer service contacted me and discussed the damaged glass. Without me needing to ask they proactively offered to send me a replacement and reminded me of the warranty on the product. Very polite and professional customer service and exceptionally prompt in responding. I'm very happy with this french press and most importantly with their customer service and I will definitely be going through this seller again. It works really well and is very easy to clean and maintain. Despite handwashing the entire thing and ensuring the glass is warmed before making the coffee, the glass cracked near the base. Ordered it at the end of April and it's July now. It works well but perhaps would be better served if the glass were a little thicker.

For the money, this coffee press is very good quality. This press looks nice, and the plunger is very smooth. It filters well and has never let any coffee grounds into my coffee. I definitely recommend this coffee press.
