It was what it said it was. It is a clean wire that won't rust and should last a long time, though I am not using it for electrical fencing. I am just using it for odds and ends jobs.

Baygard (Parmak) does not package or sell 14 gauge aluminum wire in 164 ft. rolls; only 16 gauge wire. Amazon needs to changed their description on this so it is accurate. I am going to keep the 16 gauge wire and try it out. I am attempting to add hot wire to my existing chain-link fence so my 80 lbs. Rhodesian Ridgeback dog will no longer climb the fence. ... show more

Wire was very thin and fragile. My biggest problem is them saying the footage and it not even being close on either roll

This worked great for putting up wires in our garden that will not rust. The wire is thick, plenty strong to hold the climbing vines, and I love that it will last forever. The price was good too!

Want to keep small critters from eating your garden plants, string this wire on insulators around your garden with an inexpensive critter shocker control box and problem solved. I've tested it on myself and these small animal shockers just startle and scare them away.
