Great sandals for foot support!

The ECCO Yucatán Sport sandals are comfortable and feel supportive. I bought them for walking all day and sight seeing on vacation. I chose these because they are sturdy leather and well made. This pair seems true to size for me (39 or 8-8.5), but a previous pair of the same style same size ran a little short. I have a hard time finding shoes because of plantar fasciitis, heel, and ankle pain, but I put these on as soon as they came and didn’t take them off all day! For my aching feet, that’s a win!! What a delight to step into shoes that make your feet feel cradled and loved. I am so impressed with these shoes that the moment I stepped into this comfort haven, I had to write this review. I wear 7 to 7.5 and they fit perfectly. Not a hiking shoe this is a sidewalk walking shoe but it's a good shoe otder your normal size.
Hi it took me awhile to figure out what size would work for me. I ordered a 7.5 and I thought that was great but then I started to wear them and that he'll was just a little too close and started to push into the back of my heel because the back of the heel of the shoe Rises up a bit you should know that it's not flat. So I return them and I got eight which are just a smidge large but don't feel loose on my foot and I walked in them today and they were great. The footbed is not a soft cloth or microfiber footbed and when you walk in 80 90 degree heat 4 maybe 5 plus miles I can get a little well I would call it sticky or not exactly comfy but nothing that hurt. The rest of the shoe felt really good while walking. There were no hot spots and no pressure spots and I have bunions and I've had foot surgery. I have a skinny foot so there's not a lot of fat on my foot you can see the bones in my foot and I have a narrow ankle and heel if this helps anyone. I've never worn at this before so I didn't know my size but I'm glad I finally figured it out in fact I ordered a few more pair. But there is something about this shoe it's called Offroad and to be honest that's the last place I would ever take this shoe. It's an open shoe and so stones and leaves and pieces of grass and twigs very easily get into the shoe which will stop you cold until you get it out of the shoe annoying yes but expected because well this is a sandal. But as it is named and Offroad show no no no no no this is a sidewalk she this is not an even in the streets shoe and that's okay with me because I walk on sidewalks all the time. If I want to walk Offroad which means on gravel or hiking or something yeah sure I'll put on my Merrell's for sure and have my foot completely and totally supported up to the ankle. This is not a hiking shoe this is a walking touring wear it on your vacation to Paris got to walk around a lot of sidewalks kind of shoe. It's not heavy and there are lots of color choices so that's very nice. They do sell out fast though so don't be surprised if they don't have the color you want in your size hang on though sometimes they get that in. I usually wear an 8 and 1/2 in most running shoes like Brooks or Nike or Asics if this helps anyone. In Clark's I wear a size 38... which is European sizing and generally a 7.5 in American sizing. The construction was good even though sometimes people complain about it not being as good as it used to be this was my first pair of ecco's and I think they were fine. I wish the colors in the pictures here with a little bit brighter or lighter to see when ordering but it was what I expected when I got it no surprises there. So if you want a light shoe that's very comfortable I would order your size don't go smaller and keep the shoe on the sidewalks or clean streets. Every shoe has a half-life as far as time wearing goes and I would say that this shoe is comfortable from 70 degrees to 80 degrees for a few hours and not more. If you're serious hiker go get yourself some serious hiking boots and give your ankles some more support. Don't go too small on these or do your normal size and you'll be fine. These were practically the only walking sandals that did not have a two-part over the toe section and that was important to me. I had tried many including Clarks but anything over my toes it can't be more than one Loop over the toes if you know what I mean. A Cool, chic & sportive all black sandal

Ecco sandals really fill the gaps between sportive sneakers and sandals. They too are so supportive and comfortable, as well as cool looking in this all black colorway. For those who remember the black shoes made by Prada in the 90s, these Ecco black sandals also have a red dot at center of the heel on its sole, reminding me of those very cool black Pradas of yore. Cute, but does not fit wide feet

Ordered these sandals after a long search for a cute shoe with a sturdy, supportive sole (many sandals nowadays have spongy/squishy soles that lead to hip pain if I wear them regularly, but most orthopedic sandals look like old lady shoes). I also have slightly wide feet just below my toes, and although these did not come in a wide size, I went ahead and purchased because I figured I could adjust the velcro straps for a custom fit. Unfortunately, the strap that goes over the toes is cosmetic only! The strap is on top of a solid piece of material that cannot be adjusted and it was too tight! If I knew this information, I wouldn’t have bothered buying these—so this is one of the first reviews I’ve ever written in hopes of saving my fellow wide-footed sisters some time! Otherwise, these are adorable, comfortable sandals and seem very well made. Should be fine for normal or narrow feet. Sad that I had to return them! ... show more

Great fit, I ordered my normal size for ECCO’s 38 and all straps are adjustable. They aren’t leather like other ECCO’s, I knew this, it was mentioned in the description. .

Most comfortable hiking/walking shoes...
I wear 8 8.5 depending on shoe style and brand. I bought 8/39 in ecco yucatan. These are very comfortable hiking/walking shoes. I am loving mine :) I work for a department store and many women shopping there wear Ecco Yucatan shoes. And I always wondered why they like these ugly looking shoes so much. They come wearing them and buy more. I gave ecco a try with a better looking pair (Ecco Felicia) which are not hiking shoes. My feet are very sensitive and refuse any shoes with straps. I have average arch. First few days, I felt the straps rubbing my toes but I still gave them a chance. It stopped bothering me after few days. My sister bought Ecco Felicia at the same time. She has more sensitive feet. She refused to wear them because of all the rubbing. It's been ten months and I wear my shoes everywhere I go but my heels start aching if I walk in them for couple of hours. So I am going on a holy trip with my sister, where we will be doing a lot of walking in very hot weather. I thought to give Ecco Yucatan a try since these are hiking shoes. I made my sister buy them too. I didn't even need to break them in. These felt very comfortable, the moment I put them on. I didn't walk miles in them yet, so I can't say how my feet will feel after long walks. But I bought bandages and heel pads to prevent any blisters and foot pain. My sister, again felt the rubbing everywhere (toes, back, sides) and doesn't want to take them on the trip. The reason I am telling all this is because these may not be the best walking shoes for everyone out there. My sister and I have very similar issues with our feet. We both get blisters and heel pain(planter fasciitis) after walking for few miles. I even get pain in ball of my feet (metatarsal). But these shoes will most likely feel comfortable from the get go. If not within two three uses, so don't be hasty to return if you don't like them. Give them a chance to adapt to your feet. These can be your next best friend ; ) As I mentioned earlier that I work retail. I have to stand for long periods of time every day. I own several pairs of naturalizer, clarks and my most recent favorite for standing all day 'Fit flops'. I own 6 paid of black fit flops shoes. Best shoes for standing on your feet. But if you have troubled feet like mine and looking for comfortable walking shoes. Go for Ecco brand. "Update"...(9/20/2019) I wore these shoes everyday and everywhere for more than a month on my trip abroad. My feet did not feel uncomfortable, sweaty or itchy in them. Only one day when I walked for about 25 miles, I had a blister under one foot . I still felt comfortable wearing them. Even my sister who went to the trip with me had no complaints for these shoes, even though she can't walk in any shoes for long. Her feet always start hurting. But she said that these are so comfy. She preferred to wear them over her other favorite shoes throughout the trip. Now I know for sure why women love these shoes so much. I even recommended them to friends. Ecco Sandals look Sporty while being comfortable.

These sandals are so comfy. I get a little of compliments on the color. I had not worn Ecco sandals B4. A friend suggested that I give them a try. Now that I have, I am sure glad I did. I will buy more in the future.
