I've searched high and low for the perfect platform bed at an affordable price and I found it with this one! Here's the scoop: It's light grey with solid wooden accents. There's a bit of a gap between the frame and our king size mattress in each of the corners. However, the fabric from the comforter sufficiently fills the voids. I've seen reviews regarding the assembly and it was a bit time consuming, but worth the effort. Someone mentioned the plastic fasteners, which we found to be well made and sturdy. We haven't experienced any shifting of the bed frame or mattress when we get in and out. I also saw some comments about off-gassing, which we didn't find to be the case. We were able to assemble the bed as soon as it was delivered and didn't have an issue with the smell. My only issue is that we scheduled the delivery, but the bed arrived before the scheduled delivery date. It was dropped off in our front yard and got rained on because we were out of town. Thankfully, everything was wrapped in plastic inside the box so the bed didn't get wet. Whew! ... show more

Update: It’s been just short of one year since owning this bed frame and I am pleased to say it has remained in great quality! Still highly recommend this product. ————— Received this bed yesterday, earlier than expected which was great. The color is more of a light grey rather than an oatmeal color that one might associate with ‘beige’ but we don’t mind as it’s a nice color. Assembly was easy, my husband and I assembled it in under two hours. All parts and tools were included, except you will need a drill to make a few holes for the support slats that connect to the bed frame. We could tell while setting it up that it’s a quality bed frame, not flimsy at all. My favorite attributes of the bed include the furniture feet that are solid wood, the bed frame’s slight lip that keeps the mattress from sliding around, and the quality of the fabric used on the frame. One attribute that could be considered negative is there are some slight gaps between the mattress and frame, but once sheets and a comforter are put on it’s not noticeable. Also a faint manufactured smell was present after unboxing, but it was not overwhelming and it dissipated overnight. Overall I highly recommend this bed frame. I was so excited for this bed to arrive so we could finally use it with our new king sized mattress. Unfortunately, the bed arrived without the 4 wooden feet and it’s not possible to put the frame together without them.
