Description

Battery Tender AC/DC Black Power Port Accessory Receptacle is a port that allows for a firm connection between on board electrical (DC) accessories and shore power (AC) . The through wall connections can be made with ease by attaching the shore power to the receptacle and the charger to the other side of the "Power Port". • Comes with screws.
The part does not come with instructions which is not particularly important other than knowing what sized hole saw or step bit to use. The hole you need is 1 7/8" diameter. Drill your hole with a step bit if the metal you are mounting it in is 1/8" thick or less and a hole saw if thicker. I mounted mine on the side of my loader where the metal was 3/16" thick. I did not use the provided screws but tapped the holes and used machine screws. Installation took me about an hour as I took the time to paint the bare metal after I cut it. You will need a step bit or 1 7/8" hole saw, a drill, 1/8" drill bit if using the provided screws, a Sharpie and a center punch. ... show more

  • it works well
this coupled with any of the battery tender units makes it easy to use the battery tender with an extension cord.

  • Starting to crack
After only a couple months it is starting to crack in multiple places. It faces the sun where parked but is under a cover 90% of the time. Seemed ok at first, then noticed cracks starting to form a few weeks ago and now have about double. Will need to be replaced by end of season. Biggest complaint, not going to mess with alternatives since I cut the hole in the boat exactly for this... so I'll buy another... which feels dumb. ... show more

  • What you need
Exactly what is described. Weather proof and not typical cheap plastic manufacturing.

  • Useless!
None of the cord ends that I have don’t fit. The retainer won’t fit over the cord end. Also, the blade of the cord end won’t allow for good contact on many end plugs.

  • Good Power Port (CAP)
I knew exactly what I was buying and got exactly what I ordered. It clearly states the following.. "Battery Tender AC Power Port: Black Marine Plug Power Port Receptacle - AC Power Flanged Port Inlet Plug - High Grade AC Electrical Connection Port Adapter with Cap Cover for Boats" Now how these 3 other guys that read the same thing I did and thought they were getting, wiring etc? And then leave a bad review because they either can't or dont read? Wow! ... show more
