Product is fine. Connectors and hardware appear good quality. Controller is trustworthy, based on my past experiences with Deltran. PROBLEM: Deltran doesn't provide BASIC, ESSENTIAL information in the product listing. At minimum the combo of operating POWER, VOLTAGE, AND CURRENT should be provided. Consumers should be VERY careful whenever messing with modern automotive electrical systems, and Deltran doesn't give enough info for customers to make an informed decision. If you don't have basic understanding of circuits, voltage, current, and power, you should think twice about DIY mods to your car's electrical system and take your car to a pro.

Have a F150 in storage with no electricity at the unit. Plenty of sun. Threw this on the roof and bought the extensions as well. Within 2 days - she’s showing fully charged or topped off. Battery tenders extend the life of your vehicles batteries. They just work. And with this - sun is free.

Using 2 solar chargers...one for Suburban and one for Snocat...both limited use. Work well despite limited solar exposure due to forest and trees.

Hooked this up to the existing leads (not Deltran leads) that I had already installed on two different motorcycles and it would not work. Just kept flashing the indicator that says no battery detected. Called Deltran technical support and the helpful technician informed me that you must use the Deltran leads with Deltran charges Installed the new Deltran leads and it worked perfect. Note: I could not tell any difference just by looking at them side by side. The difference is internal mechanism Battery Tender is a great product and the unit works great BOTTOM LINE: MAKE SURE YOU USE DELTRAN (Battery Tender) LEADS WITH DELTRAN (Battery Tender) CHARGERS

I didn't use tech support so didn't rate it. The installation was simple and straightforward. When I completed the installation as per directions and connected the wires I got a yellow blinking light that indicated the battery was not properly connected. After verifying the proper connection I turned on the inverter and this solved the error. The system works as advertised and is charging my house batteries.

We have the same brand of plug in tender but often park our car in an area where we do not have convenient access to an outlet. This nicely solves the problem - we just swap the solar panel for plug depending on whether we have access to a plug or not.
