  • More Powerful Than You Think
I'll just start by saying that this sprayer is available under several brand names. Auodgnt is the branding on this unit. How you are meant to pronounce that, well your guess is as good as mine. And these are not similar items, they are the EXACT same items. How do I know? Because I have this unit, and one that is branded under Ruinopar. Same instruction manual, same pack, parts, battery, etc. Now I'm not saying this is intrinsically bad. In fact, it's much more common than you think. Enough about that, let's get into my thoughts on the product. I've seen people complain that the assembly was difficult. I'm not sure why. It requires no tools whatsoever. You screw the hose on the pack, the wand on the hose, and your chosen sprayer on the wand. Then install the pressure knob, install the battery and secure the shoulder straps. The entire process took me about 3 minutes. There is a switch to turn power on and then you have to turn the pressure knob up until it clicks to actually start getting power to the unit. The unit includes all you need and has included extras such as a filter basket to filter particles out of what you are pouring in and a handy measuring cup that is housed under the smaller top cap. It's worth noting that the battery charger is not a traditional charger you are used to seeing for Li Ion batteries. The battery has a charging port that you plug the included charger cable into. Given that they are supposed to be cross compatible with Makita batteries, in theory they could be charged on a standard battery charger. But given that my Makita tools are 18v and these are listed at 21v, I don't plan to swap chargers/batteries between the two. Honestly, the battery life is decent enough that you will probably never need to hot swap batteries anyway. The access door to the battery compartment can be a little difficult to remove and I could see someone struggling with it a bit. I have owned several pump sprayers over the years which come in handy when you have seedlings and small indoor plants to take care of. My original thought with this sprayer was it would be an easier version of the trusty pump sprayer. Well you definitely aren't using it for that. Even on the lowest pressure setting, this unit has some serious force. So if indoor plant maintenance for you gardeners that start indoors every year to get a head start on growing season is your goal, this is not what you are looking for. Even with the pressure control knob turned as low as it can go, it's still just too much. And I don't recommend even running it at the lowest setting because the motor starts making weird noises and running electric motors at too low of a current isn't good for them. The included spray tips are a little confusing and don't really cover a wide array of uses. There is one tip that is a mister and the rest are just variations of the same size hole in different numbers. Even the shower type head is just six small holes that shoot out like six jet streams. Would have been nice to have a soaker type attachment and a shower type that was actually a more gentle spray. You have to stand at a reasonable distance to not blast dirt out of the container which leads to getting a lot of what is intended for your plants on the ground around them. Since I intended to use this exclusively for fertilizer, it is no longer ideal as you typically don't want to get fertilizer all over the leaves. If you are using this just as a means to water outdoor plants, it's fine. Or as a means to apply cleaner to a fence, gutters, etc, it's good for that as well. But I've covered why it's not ideal for plant feedings and unless you have plants in a place where you don't have water close by, it just doesn't make sense to use this over a regular old hose for just watering. Maybe I can find some different attachments that would make it viable for my intended purpose. It's a good product, just not what I was looking for to cover my needs. If higher pressure isn't a concern for you and actually preferable, then it may be a smart purchase for you. I'll update if I encounter any major problems in the first season. ... show more

  • what i was looking for/quite powerful
could of been 5 stars pretty easy, just a couple things setting it up that were a bit confusing, one being getting the straps attached to the right place and getting a twist out of them, also they have different colored washers for different parts of the handle and hose, be easier with just one kind washer and if they were all already in place or none of them were, some things had washers already in place and other didn't, the instructions aren't bad they just aren't the best also took me about 5 minutes to get the pump to prime, i did have one washer doubled up in the spray handle and it primed shortly after i found it and removed it, not sure if that was the issue or not........like a say the different washers and instructions aren't great but as far as how the unit operates once i got it primed i have no complaints, especially compared to my old hand pump 2 gallon sprayer, i have about 1700 sq feet of landscape rock i have to spray for weeds, my old sprayer i had to fill twice and it took me about 45 minutes to do the whole thing, with this i only had to do one tank and it took 20 minutes to do the pump is quiet and it puts out way more than i need if you would crank it all the way up! i turned the dial so it was barely on and that was still almost more pressure that what i needed, barely being on it put out more pressure than my hand pump sprayer does if pumped up for 10 minutes i'm not sure about all the other nozzles they include i don't ever see myself ever using any other one than the twist adjustable one, good little unit so far, hope the priming issue was just a one time deal, if it continues to be a problem i will update my review ... show more

  • Great quality, working perfectly.
I have had a few backpack sprayers over the years and this one is definitely the nicest so far. -It came in very well packaged and in perfect shape. -It was simple to assemble and even came with extra washers/O rings should the originals wear out. -The shoulder straps did come in threaded twisted so I had to re-thread them. The bottom “clip/hooks” into a spot on the bottom of the tank which keeps it very secure when wearing. Although when going to put it on more often than not I end up knocking one of the bottoms out, I mean it reattaches easily enough but is a bit of a pain. -The back support was tight getting on but it made a big difference. -It came in fully charged so I was able to try it out right away and it is very powerful or not if you need it to be. -All the spray attachments work as they should and screw on no problem. -As opposed to other backpack sprayers the clip they give you to hold the hose and wand when not in use not only stays on but actually holds them tight enough to keep even when bumped. Which is great because with others I end up with a hose and drippy mess when their holders get dislodged. -The handle is fairly comfortable to hold. I could do with a slightly better “locking” mechanism when you want to lock it on/open for an extended period of time though as this one takes a bit to get it locked and extra to get it undone. I mean at least you will not be turning on or off the lock accidentally like some others I have had. Overall though even with those things in mind it is my most reliable and comfortable backpack sprayer. ... show more
