This sprayer is everything they say it is and then some. I just received mine, one small part was missing, email seller, problem solved. PROS: 3.5 Gal is perfect for my needs, this one with all the feature of larger units, not stripped down because it's smaller Well engineered with all the small details thought of. Storage compartment for all of the spray nozzles in the sprayer, a BIG plus! Pressure adjustment really changes the flow rate nicely Popular Makita battery can be upgraded 3rd party very inexpensively, if needed Gallon measurements on one side, liters on the other, no having to mark the tank for US use. Good selection of spray nozzles with nice metal telescoping wand, not plastic and NO LEAKS. Clips on side of tank. Several extra fitting gaskets if one should be lost. Very nice! Comfortable straps. Didn't even know I had it on. Bright Safety Green if working around others with mowers, traffic etc. CONS: Shipping time: Apparently a new company with Amazon. I live in Florida, the bug capitol of the USA. There are none of these units in stock in Florida. Mine was shipped out of Maryland. Allow time if you need one tomorrow, but it's worth the wait. Would like to have seen an adjustable nozzle to avoid so many nozzle changes. A finer tip for weed spraying in rocks is needed. However for the price of this unit, I will order one 3rd party. The instructions are "follow the pictures." instructions. The one missing is the tanks prayer clip that attaches to the left side of the sprayer. Overall a 5+ and would highly recommend this unit for the price, it can't be beat.

Working to keep the “Arizona Landscaping” (i.e., bare gravel) around our property weed-free is a never ending battle. Between the tumbleweed, brittlebush, mesquite, cats-claw, creosote, broom bush, and a dozen other nasty plants – I firmly believe the desert would reclaim our entire acreage in just a couple years without constant herbicide application. For decades I’ve been using 2-gallon hand-pump sprayers – this VAXMAY is my first battery powered applicator. The unit is fairly heavy empty (~9 lbs.), adding 4 gallons of water ( 4 x 8.34 lbs.) would bring this sprayer to over 42 lbs., which is a lot for many (older) folks to carry on their backs. I have limited my tank fills to 2 gallons, which is manageable for the duration needed to spray that amount. I like the extendable spray wand, as it lets me get to the length I want for spraying weeds about 18-24” away from my feet as I walk around looking for invaders. The battery powered pump is plenty powerful and I enjoy not having to re-pump the handheld tank every few minutes. I also like that VAXMAY chose a standard removable Makita battery pack for this unit; buying a spare battery will be easy – and ensure long sessions of weed killing. My only complaint with this unit is that none of the supplied nozzles have narrow spray pattern – they vary from wide to EXTREMELY WIDE. Even their “Stream Nozzle” uses four outlet holes to spray a wide circle only inches from the nozzle. I need a narrow spray pattern to hit just the weed and not waste herbicide on the bare gravel 3-feet in diameter around the target. I modified the “Cone Nozzle” to produce a narrower pattern, but it is still not as targeted as I want. I fear I will use (waste) a lot more herbicide with this sprayer than I did with the hand-pump tanks. With a narrow pattern spray nozzle, I would give this 5-stars. Your application needs may vary – but for spot treatments, this unit is sub-optimal.

I have only had it one day, so the durability is unknown. However, it is made of thick plastic and has a Makita compatible battery. Th picture on Amazon makes it look like it is a Makita battery, but it is not. At least we know how to get a replacement when if fails. The unit is ergonomically shaped and has soft foam on the part that rests on your back. It is much more comfortable than an older non-powered backpack sprayer I have. It comes with a good assortment of nozzles and spare washers and has good power to spray larger areas and distances. I sprayed weeds this morning and was pleased with the coverage and speed. No leaks. It is far superior to my older pump sprayer. If this one holds up well, I may get a second one for another property.
