  • This is the perfect solution if you have Dewalt 18V batteries and a Milwaukee tool.
Size: 1 Pack (Adapter Only)
This is the perfect solution if you have a lot of Dewalt 18V batteries and a Milwaukee tool, but no Milwaukee batteries.. You simply snap it onto your battery and plug it into your tool. IT is a snug fit , but it fits securely to both items. It is easy to use. It is perfectly functional. I was worried that it would take up too much space, but so far on my palm sander no problem, you can even mount the dust collector without interference. I have not tried to charge a battery with this adapter mounted, so I can not address charging speed. My only complaint is that the adapter smell really bad, sort of a chemical/plastic/ozone type smell. Hopefully this will dissipate soon. ... show more

  • You Get What You Pay For, And That’s Okay!
Size: 1 Pack (Adapter Only)
If you’re going into the world of power tool battery adapters, you need to be prepared for jank and jerry-rigging. Do not expect a polished product that connects perfectly to everything because that would require actual official licensing from the tool manufacturers - which they would never do for a number of reasons. Know these are stop-gap solutions. If you’re buying one you should have specific application in mind, instead of trying to make it a pivot point of your tool collection. Things like build quality, durability, function, and reliability are fair game for review, but I’m not gonna dock this thing points for being a cheap Amazon product because that’s what it is. That being said, here are my thoughts. Quick summary: It definitely works! It is able to deliver power effectively, and in my experience so far (about a month) it is capable of shutting off when the battery is low. The main issue I ran into was the design/shape not allowing medium-to large sized batteries to fit some devices. Easily disassembled though if you’re willing to try and fix that yourself. It’s not very sturdy - the cheap plastic can easily break, so I wouldn’t recommend it in a setting where it could get thrown around, bumped, dropped, or hit. If that’s a deal breaker for you, I’m not sure there even are any battery adapters that can take a beating. More details: The battery slides into the adapter in the opposite direction that the adapter slides into the tool. This means that for certain devices (IE their vacuums, or anything with a battery compartment) the end of the Dewalt battery will be sticking out too far to fit. The soft, fragile plastic of this adapter becomes a strength here, as it’s super easy to take the adapter apart, flip the direction of the connectors, and close it back together. I used a utility knife and some Sugru (moldable silicone rubber) to reshape this thing and make it fit for my needs. I also think adding the Sugru probably made it more durable. We’ll see how it holds up over time. I’m not sure how the “protection circuit board” works, as the Dewalt battery only connects to 2 pins, but the Milwaukee connects to multiple. I forgot to note where these connect on the circuit board. Wire gauge looked pretty thick from what I could tell but I didn’t confirm what it was. ... show more

  • Use DeWalt 20V Max Batteries on Milwaukee 18V Tools!
Size: 1 Pack (Adapter Only)
Do you have a number of DeWalt 20V Max tools and batteries, but also one or two Milwaukee 18V tools? Don't want to deal with having two types of batteries and chargers? This is the answer. Just slip this adapter onto your Milwaukee tool and a DeWalt battery onto the adapter, and you're ready to go. This works great for Milwaukee tools with exposed batteries, which is the majority of them, but will not work with tools where the battery is enclosed. ... show more

  • Tight Secure Fit
Size: 1 Pack (Adapter Only)
I wanted more versatility from my existing extensive one company battery supply. This adapter was so perfect a fit in the tools battery slot that I thought it would not fit at all. It took me sleeping on it to look more closely and what I found was the fit was tight and needed a slightly heavy hand to insert into the new other brand tool. Coaxed along it was a great and strong fit. My battery itself had always slid into it's position on the adapter as if it was home. Power transfer is good. I plan to leave the adapter it on that tool and if another opportunity to expand my power tool collection walks up dressed in different colors from my batteries but at similar spec I will buy another adapter and not add different batteries and chargers. ... show more

  • It broke
Size: 1 Pack (Adapter Only)
Short version: It broke after very light use. Longer version: I received this on February 26th and began using it on the 27th. I attached it to my tool, a stationary fan, and once a day I attached an OEM battery to it, and then unplugged the battery about 7 hours later. It wasn't touched or moved apart from that, and the fan was indoors in a protected environment. Today, on the 6th day of use, I connected the battery for the 11th time. I walked away from the fan, and half an hour later glanced over to see that the fan was pointing straight up. When I looked to see why, I found that the adapter had broken in half and the weight of the falling battery had tugged the fan. The battery and half the adapter were dangling by wires. You can see in the photo that the plastic lugs that the screws connect to are all broken. This wasn't a high stress or high impact environment. I wasn't powering a saw or drill. The fan I was running was set on low and doesn't vibrate or oscillate. The battery I am using isn't unusually big or heavy. The adapter didn't feel broken when I received it. In my case this isn't that big a deal. I can glue the adapter back together and it will be fine for my use. But for anyone who plans to use this with a normal power tool like a drill, have some duct tape at the ready. ... show more
